Secrets and Lies are two things that will keep us in bondage. We hope no one will discover our secrets, yet it is inevitable that they will be exposed at some time in our life. Usually this will happen at the most inopportune times. We forget about the lies we have told in the past and eventually, we get caught telling a lie to cover up a lie we have been covering up in the past. It is a vicious circle with no good ending. What is hidden, WILL come to life. 

Growing up in a very toxic and abusive Christian home, I often times had scripture thrown at me in very inappropriate ways. We began walking with God in God in 2012 after a 38-year period of walking on the darkside, I decided I wanted to see what the bible had to say about abusing children. There are two very profound and direct scriptures that talk about the consequences of abusing children. On of the scriptures is found in Matthew, Luke, and Mark. The second scripture can be found in Colossians and Ephesians. In this episode I talk about these scriptures and how easily they can be disobeyed.

We get a lot of payoff in our society for being inauthentic. We grew up learning how to pretend to be what we thought other people wanted us to be. We are taught that we receive love and approval from others based on how well we conform to what they want from us. The price tag for that kind of approval is far too high. We give up our own sense of self-worth when we change who we are in order to get someone else’s approval.

You might be thinking, Naw, Randy, that’s not me. I’m not that guy. I’m not a fake.

I didn’t think I was that guy, either. But as I delved deeper and deeper into personal growth, I realized that I was inauthentic most of the time.

After the excitement of the honeymoon wears off, it's easy to to get lost in the everyday grind of life. Climbing corporate ladders, getting kids to and from school, soccer games and dance recitals. Our partners no longer seem to be a priority and before you know it, your spouse is more like a roommate than a spouse. There is a easy solution, never stop dating it really is that simple.
