  • Making Friends with Lust
We all have lust - whether for sex, money, power, fame, food, drink, drugs, security, etc. We go to that space right between desire and action, where we can say "yes" or "no", to learn and experience that willpower is not a great way to handle lust. Far better to sit with the desire, even if only for 10 or 15 seconds, and experience that desire as energy rather than as a command to act. Lust has a deceptive premise: that "if I get this, then I'll be happy" or some other story. Happiness does not come from the objects of the world, but from letting our attachments and aversions to them go.

  • Who doesn't love you?
We all have a lot of energy on this question. Maybe it is a family member, a childhood (ex) friend, an old romantic partner - or maybe it is more social, as in "They don't love me because I'm a woman, or black, or any minority, or not rich enough, or don't have the "right" background. We explore the energy behind our reactions, and heal them for more inner peace, more love.

  • Who do you want to punish? To teach a lesson to?
And, what have we done that we deserve to be punished? Most of us harbor some sense of vengeance, some sense that there are people who should be punished. How is that working for you? Does holding a grudge feel lighter or heavier than forgiving? It's heavier, right? But what about sex traffickers, modern-day slave traders, war mongers, war criminals, rapists, racists, Billionaires, parents, children? We use punishment to be safe and to control our lives. Ultimately, we want to be the ones who bless rather than the ones who punish. Could we allow ourselves to be completely safe and peaceful, and then use our common sense to do what we need to do on the material plane of life?
