the ability to do something that frightens one
Courage is not just physical bravery; it can also mean speaking out against injustice, or taking a financial risk to follow a dream, endurance, mental stamina and innovation
Courage also means feeling afraid yet choosing to act anyway.
"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear." —Nelson Mandela
"Being terrified but going ahead and doing what must be done—that's courage. The one who feels no fear is a fool, and the one who lets fear rule him is a coward." —Piers Anthony
"Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage." —Anais Nin

State of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances
There are two circumstances that cause stress in the body
Adversity
Any situation that places extreme demand on the body
Physical results of the stress response
heart pounding
breathing quickens
Muscles tense
beads of sweat appear
This combination of reactions to stress is also known as the "fight-or-flight" response
Over time, repeated activation of the stress response takes a toll on the body. Research suggests that chronic stress contributes to high blood pressure, promotes the formation of artery-clogging deposits, and causes brain changes that may contribute to anxiety, depression, and addiction
Most times we look at stress as a negative situation, but stress plays a role in both positive and negative circumstances
Two concepts:
Distress: this is negative stress with all its emotions
Eustress: this is positive stress with its associated emotions
Distress can be used positively as a warning sign that something is not right with us and for us to do something about it.
Eustress can be used positively to enhance our performance in positive circumstances that we find ourselves. Like when you are doing something outside your comfort zone. It can be used to make us grow.

There is a mathematical Principle in which you know one value and you use it in deducing another value because you Know a part of it commonly referred to as the if then principle.
It is used in solving problems on finance and interest
If the bank interest on your savings account is 5% per annum, It means that as you keep 100 dollars in your savings account for one year, you will be paid an interest of 5 dollars
David used that principle to go against Goliat in 1 Samuel 17:34-37 KJV
The ease with which God kept smaller promises made to you, is the same ease with which He will fulfill the bigger ones. Believe Him for something big.

TO HOPE is to believe in the future occurrence of (something)
Synonyms anticipate, await, watch (for)
Related Words bank on, count (on or upon), depend (on or upon), rely (on or upon), wait (for);
Hope is a bridge between now and the future. It is the link between your present unpleasant state and your glorious future expectation
HOPE IS IN THE FUTURE WHILE FAITH IS NOW
Hope is One of the three main elements of Christian character. It is joined to faith and love,
1Co 13:13 KJV And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
Hope is the direct opposite of seeing or possessing Rom 8:24 KJV For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
It is important for your hope to be rooted in God's Word or promise
Any hope that is rooted in God's promise will be fulfilled, the years notwithstanding
If a man makes you a promise that could take several years before it comes to pass, the chances of fulfilling that promise are slimmer.

God’s love for you doesn’t depend on what you do.
Gods love does not depend on who you are, what you believe in or what you stand for
Even if a mother will abandon a baby, God’s Love is so great that He says He will never leave you nor forsake you.
God is in love with you—so in love that It's covered every sin and failure you ever had. All you must do now is believe and receive His love.

To grow and develop as a Christian, one important thing we need is the word of God.
We need to read the word
We need to Study the word
We need to Meditate on the word of God
We need to Memorize the word of God
We will be looking at a simple method of how to Study the word.
Apart from reading the word, studying the word gives us a better understanding of it, enabling us to recognize and apply it in circumstances and situations in our lives
There are many ways to study the word, but today, I will share a simple method that has helped me get a deeper understanding of the word, and that I have found is easy to apply to personal and group study, Young Christians, seasoned Christians, young and old persons in terms of age.
HOW TO STUDY THE BIBLE, A SIMPLE METHOD
1. Choose a chapter or verses you would want to read.
2. Use a notebook and pencil or pen when you want to study.
3. Pray for God’s guidance to help you understand his word.
4. Summarize the passage you just read in your own words. If you cannot do so then read it again, as it means you have not understood the passage clearly
5. What do you like in the passage? Make a list of the things you like in the passage.
6. What don’t you like in the passage? Make a list of the things you don’t like in the passage.
7. Is there anything you don’t understand? Note it down and ask someone who knows.
8. What does the passage tell you about God and understanding his nature? list the attributes, the character, and the nature of God you have found out through the passage
9. What does this passage tell you about life and how to live a successful Christian life? List these points down
As you come across topics or concepts in Life, around you and in the word of God, write them down for future study

Because of the unique position the mind takes in the person, there is a constant battle by Satan against our minds to influence it or take it over
The mind is the battleground where Satan fights to control the will and the spirit of a person:
It is transformational to make a choice to have the mindset of the word of God
We can transform our minds by renewing it with the word of God

The word (you know) works
There are three scriptures I use, to remind myself of the power in the word of God, and the fact that the word works.
Isaiah 55:11 KJV So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Jeremiah 1:12 AMPC Then said the Lord to me, you have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.
Psalms 138:2 AMPC I will worship toward Your holy temple and praise Your name for Your loving-kindness and for Your truth and faithfulness; for You have exalted above all else Your name and Your word and You have magnified Your word above all Your name!
The Lord watches over his word to confirm it. He has released enough power to bring every word and promise he has written in the Bible to pass.
the Word does the work, not the one holding on to it.
It works for anyone who will apply it to their circumstances.
You just have to remember what is written you do not have to accurately quote what chapter and verse
USING the Word will not always easy.
No matter what Satan tells you, refuse to let go of the Word.
Tell him what is written concerning your situation. Let the Word fight its own fight

Do you usually finish what you start?
If you are anything like me, you will be extremely excited when you start any new project or goal, you hit some problems or difficulties while carrying them out, and you get excited about another new project and abandon the other one.
We are now at the middle month of the year, halfway through the year. How many of our new years resolutions and Goals have we completed, or are we still pursuing?
How we finish or complete what we start is better than how we begin
Ecclesiastes 7:8 KJV Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
(“Tony Robbins Quote: “The race of life is a marathon, not a sprint.””)
What happens to the project when it ends or when you hand it over is what determines your success in it.
My Life changed for the better when I learned and adopted the practice of doing my best finish everything I do well, even in those things which I do not succeed like I expected to.
Make sure you finish the race of life well. You have not started if you are not saved!!!

One thing I have observed in the Bible is that there are some Patterns God placed there for us that are repeated over and over for us to learn from.
One of those Patterns I have found to be true, is that God prepares His vessels, and tests them before he uses them to His Glory
Job 23:10 KJV But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
Every one of us have a purpose on this earth that God wants us to fulfil to His glory if we would let Him use us
You have been created with certain talents and gifts that are unique to you to fulfill your purpose.
God is the One who decides the place and duration of your training, vis-à-vis His purpose for your life. However, your inputs also count. That is, if you easily cooperate with Him, you may not exceed your appointed training period. But if you prove to be tough, stubborn, or slow at learning, you may extend the divine timetable.
MOSES
Before using Moses, He arranged for him to go through formal education in the palace of Egypt for 40 years.
Moses had to go to the wilderness for another 40 years training, to learn what the best education could not teach him.
Moses spent 80 years to prepare for a 40-year long ministry. This means that years of preparation may sometimes be twice as much as years of service
Acts 7:20-36
Joseph
Genesis chapters 37-45
most times we focus only on His accomplishment at the end
He was Betrayed by His Brothers
Sold off as a slave
Put in Prison Falsely
Came out as the second in Command of one of the greatest nations on earth at that time
JESUS
He Lived and trained for 30 Years
He was tested
His ministry was only for 3 years, and the world has never remained the same since then
Do you learn from the events, situations and circumstances that you go through? If you don't, you may need to repeat those Trainings and Tests.
