To grow and develop as a Christian, one important thing we need is the word of God.

1Pe 2:2 KJV  As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

We need to read the word

We need to Study the word

We need to Meditate on the word of God

We need to Memorize the word of God

We will be looking at how to Read the word.

I had tried many times to read through the bible, but stopped somewhere along the line. One of the methods I tried was reading the bible in a year.

What I am sharing is the method I found which works all the time for me.

In order to stay consistent and successfully read the bible through, we have to make it a habit

WHAT IS FAITH

Heb 11:1 KJV Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith is a Blueprint of the things we hope for. It is the building block of what we hope for.

Faith is a spiritual Force

Positive confessions of faith without corresponding action will get you nowhere 

Faith without works is dead

Jas 2:26 KJV  For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

It’s easy to be so afraid of making a mistake that you never get around to stepping out in faith. 

If you act on the Word out of the sincerity of your heart and you steadfastly stay with the Word, Jesus will never let you down...no matter how many stupid mistakes you make.

Mother’s Day is a Holiday, created to honor ones Mother. 

Mother’s Day in the UK, is on a different day

We should not honor our fathers and mothers only one day a year, but every day of the year. It is to our own benefit

Eph 6:2-3 AMP Honor (esteem and value as precious) your father and your mother--this is the first commandment with a promise--[Exod. 20:12.]  (3)  That all may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth.

Also, it is a day not only for biological Mothers, but also for spiritual Mothers and Mothers to be.

To be a true Mother, you must first be a woman of God, a virtuous woman Pro 31:10-30 AMP  

She is a praying woman (15)  She rises while it is yet night and gets [spiritual] food for her household and

She is a business woman (16) she considers a [new] field before she buys or accepts it

She is well dressed (22)  She makes for herself coverlets, cushions, and rugs of tapestry. Her clothing is of linen, pure and fine, and of purple

She studies and teaches the word(26)  She opens her mouth in skillful and godly Wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness [giving counsel and instruction].

She is not involved in gossip (27)  She looks well to how things go in her household, and the bread of idleness (gossip, discontent, and self-pity) she will not eat.

The first step, is to accept Jesus as your Lord and personal savior

The second step, is to set the Goal, and believe you can be that Gods virtuous woman

Then Study the passage, trusting God to become his virtuous woman

This is instantaneous Prayer done at times we are faced with impossible situations. with it, we can seek the face of God in the shortest possible time, like the time between a question asked and an answer given

The advantage of thinking before talking

Many times, we don’t think things through before answering a question. This is because there is a tendency to believe that if you answer quickly, you will seem smarter.

The contrary is the case. Those who take a breath or pause for one or two seconds before answering seem smarter, because they would seem to have thought through their answer.

WHAT IS A PROMISE?  

A promise is a commitment by someone to do or not do something. As a noun promise means a declaration assuring that one will or will not do something. As a verb it means to commit oneself by a promise to do or give. It can also mean a capacity for good, like a value that is to be realized in the near future………. Wikipedia

HOW MANY PROMISES IN THE BIBLE?

There are over 7,400 Promises of God to man……………..Some Researchers say there are over 30,000 promises, including Man to man God to man and other promises recorded.

Whenever God makes you a promise, or gives you a word of prophecy, never belittle it. While it is unwise to base your expectations on the promises of men, you can safely depend on God's promises

Num 23:19  God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Some actionable steps we can take to claim God’s promises to us in His word and watch it come to pass in our lives:

Locate the scriptural basis for the promise

Believe the word of God you located will come to pass

Settle it in your heart that the promise you are believing God for is the will of God for you if you are in doubt if it is the will of God, it will not Come to pass God’s will is his word. until the will of God is known faith cannot work

Ask God for the promise which He has given

Meditate on the promise of God daily

Make that Move

Easter is observed by Christians to commemorate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Resurrection took place around the time of the Passover.

The word EASTER is used to describe the Passover. It is in the bible Act 12:4 KJV  And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

Mar 16:1-4 KJV  And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.  (2)  And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.  (3)  And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?  (4)  And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

The situation Mary and the other women faces are similar to many situations we also face in our lives

THE CIRCUMSTANCES MAY NOT BE THE WAY YOU WANT IT, AND IT MAY LOOK IMPOSSIBLE Isa 43:19 KJV  

FOCUS ON SERVING THE LORD EVEN WHEN YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE CIRCUMSTANCES They served the Lord even when they thought the situation was hopeless and a tragedy

THE ROLLED AWAY STONE IS A PROPHETIC DECLARATION OF OBSTACLES BEING REMOVED FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE HIS WORD AND MOVE FORWARD

MAKE A DIFFERENCE SHAPE YOUR ENVIRONMENT 

To make a difference and shape “your World”, you must first make a quality decision to be different in the expression of your faith and your conduct by showing forth the lord in all that you do.

Genesis 19:14 (NKJV) So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, “Get up, get out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city!” But to his sons-in-law he seemed to be joking.

Lot had compromised to the point that he was almost useless to God. When he finally made a stand, nobody listened. He had allowed his environment to shape him, rather than shaping his environment. 

The scripture teaches us to avoid all appearance of evil. 1Th 5:22 KJV Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Conduct yourself in a way that will put to rest any question about whether or not you're a Christian. Let the people around you see your love and faith and purity in every situation.

Your example will go a lot further than your words.

When we are knocked down by circumstances in our lives, it is very important that we don’t accept defeat. If we accept defeat, then nobody can help us any longer.  

Meditate on the awesomeness of our God. When you catch the revelation of how great our God is, your problems will pale in comparison. 

Besides being King of kings and Lord of lords, our God is also the Most High. 

Ecc 5:8 KJV  If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.

If you have a problem that is identified by a name, it is below the name of Jesus and therefore will be solved at the application of the name of Jesus.

Php 2:8-9 KJV  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  (9)  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

 Is anyone sitting on your benefits? That Person shall let you go this season.

Psa 91:1-3 KJV  He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  (2)  I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.  (3)  Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

Many times, Jesus compares the kingdom of God to examples or circumstances people can relate to so it will be easy to understand.

One of the times He did this, He compared the Kingdom of God to sowing a seed

Putting this in context, God solved many Problems by Sowing a seed

When God lost man in Adam and Eve, He had every option that exists to choose from to redeem what He’d lost. He had all wisdom and all power available to Him. Out of all that, the law of giving is what He chose to use.

He gave the most irreplaceable thing He had: His only Son. 

Joh 3:16 KJV  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

He backed that gift with His own faith. And when the law of giving and receiving had done its work, the Almighty Father God received not only His first-begotten Son, but millions of other sons as well.

Give what you would like to receive from God. Whatever you sow you will reap if you want money, give money. If you want love Give Love, If you want a smile, give a smile. If you want to be happy, make someone else happy

Money is a universal seed

Most of us feel like we are under pressure these days. 

Satan is putting more pressure on more people right now than ever before. 

He’s pressuring us mentally, financially, emotionally and every other way he can. 

If the devil’s pressuring you, don’t panic…plant! Plant your time. Plant your money. Plant the clothes off your back.

Let God Guide you as to when, Where and How to sow, 

But put your Faith in it and nurture the seed, water it and care for it with Prayer the way a Farmer cares for his Crop

You must have Faith in God that His Promises will come to pass

One thing I have discovered and understood from God’s word, is that His gifts are without repentance.

This means that when He gives you a gift, he does not go back on it. It is yours to decide how you will use it. You can use it for good or for evil. 

Rom 11:29 KJV  For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Many Principles of the word of God are made for us to use, and they work in any direction we use them

We will however bear the consequences of how we use it at the end of age.

The Power of Unity

Mat 18:19 KJV  Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

The Principle of Giving and receiving

Luk 6:38 KJV  Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

The Principle of the Power in what we say

Mar 11:23 KJV  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Note that He says you shall have Whatsoever you say not whatsoever you mean

Also note that He says Whosoever shall say

Words are powerful. 

Pro 18:21 KJV  Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

What we say is Very Important

Pro 4:23-24 KJV Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.  (24)  Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

Our thoughts  may sometimes go wild, but we should not speak it out

Pro 30:32 AMP  If you have done foolishly in exalting yourself, or if you have thought evil, lay your hand upon your mouth. 

We should watch what we say, always and ensure that we mean it, as it affects our lives. Let us withdraw whatever we say wrongly or what we don’t mean.

Let us train our mouths to be obedient to the word of God.
