Today I want to talk about the choices we make in our life or health journey and the consequences that result from that.

When you close your eyes and imagine your healthiest self what does that feel like? What does that look like?

Once we have that imagine or feeling we almost always focus on what we have to give up or what the “negative side effects are.”

We don't think of what the consequences are for staying where we are at.

How we spend our days is how we spend our lives. Stop, close your eyes and really think about that.
Are your habits supporting the things that you want most.
More than likely the answer is no.. and you could be laughing and thinking what habits I just wing it.
Honestly, that totally used to be me. I would laugh and secretly judge people who had everything scheduled. like that was something bad, I would pride my self in the fact that I was a go with the flow kind of girl free spirit have you may. This episode is about Scheduling and Habit stacking.

Today is all about becoming the best you and what that means. Every client I work with asks me this....What is enough..... am I doing enough..... ?

Showing up matters more than showing up perfectly. Progress over perfection.

You have to start following through on the commitments you make to YOU, just like you do for everyone else.

What ever it is you are wanting to change... small actionable steps equals sustainability. This is enough

Overwhelm....Not so merry go round... Ok here are some life changing actions to pull your self out of the overwhelm quicksand...(and give you time to re-adjust, re schedule or recommitment. Evaluate if you can eliminate the overwhelm, make the overwhelm work for you or acknowledge overwhelm and move thru it.

I want to acknowledge and be very clear.... There are all different causes or creators of overwhelm. We can be overwhelmed for a moment, a few hours, a day, a week or a season. Regardless, we can treat it the same. No one is coming to save us, no one can do the work for us. This is what my program healthy as a mother is all about. One small step, then the next then the next. we are allowed to overwhelmed, feel sad, scared, grieve, feel sorry for ourselves.... we just aren't allowed to stay there.

Give yourself grace. You're human. Not perfect. Humans experience emotions; I mean moms get pushed to the edge daily. We are action taking , the one next thing...The only way out is thru!

To be honest this was not what I originally planned to be the topic of my first episode. But this is what needed to be shared today. 

"I don't know how you do it".... I cant tell you how many times someone in my life has said this to me. My inner voice has always laughed and wondered what other choice do I have? Can you relate? But the reality is we do have a choice.  

I am so happy as a society we are getting more comfortable talking abut mental health... but we have a long way to go!!

We hear so much of "Check up on your friends", "Ask them how they are doing, How are they really doing?"

In this episode I share small but impactful ways to show up for others. To be a light in the dark for someone else who is struggling.

I can not emphasize this enough....If someone opens up to you and shares...Friends you better show the F*CK UP!

Asking questions is not enough.. its our job to take it further, to be HUMAN beings and show up for each other. 

Let them know we heard them, let them know we care, let them know they matter...

Talking about mental illness is not attention seeking it is BRAVE. We are all in this together each and everyone of us can make a difference in someone else’s life.

Show up, love one another, be vulnerable!
