This week I was joined by Dr. Preston Hill to talk about the overlaps of Theology & Psychology as well as the Spiritual First Responders Project. Is it possible to have a thriving spiritual life following faith deconstruction? We sure think so, and Preston Hill has collaborated on an amazing project to help you do just that. The SFRP cultivates healthy spirituality and healing for people who have left a religious community, using methods supported by psychology. SFRP is devoted to providing access to mental health care, and spiritual health is a big part of that. Preston and company are creating spaces where meaningful spiritual work can be done, tailor-made for those who feel done with religion. They believe those experiencing deconstruction deserve access to the healthy spiritual meaning they desire. This was a great conversation that I hope you find helpful! Enjoy.
The Spiritual First Responders Project is a research initiative on mental health and spiritual meaning-making for those experiencing faith deconstruction. We offer spiritual process groups led by licensed mental health professionals for those who are deconstructing or have experienced church hurt. The project is not religiously affiliated or sponsored by any church. Our only goal is to support you in your mental and spiritual health. For more information and to get involved, visit sfrproject.org or email us directly at [email protected].
