This week Jerry Katzman M.D. interviews Kurt Wagner M.D. known as “Doc Hollywood” for his 35 years as a Board Certified Plastic surgeon to the stars in Beverly Hills and one the countries most experienced and respected plastic surgeons in the world. He has recently served as the CEO of a public company specializing in the development, procurement, storage and use of stem cells for breast augmentation and reconstructive surgery by plastic surgeons, a hot topic in Medicine today .He founded the American Society of Aesthetic and Reconstructive surgery an organization that also provides free services for patients in need.,and was one of the original members of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He has performed over 20,000 individual cases and his list of patients include ginger rogers, fred Astaire, Joan Crawford, and Yul Brenner to name just a few. He has invented and designed products for plastic surgery including the Wagner insert for breast implants, Dow Corning silicones,Heyer Schulte implants, the Wagner extended Silicone chin implants, and the Wagner “Kool gel” shield for your eyes following eyelid surgery. He is an internationally published author and lecturer on topics including plastic surgery and reconstruction, congenital malformations and anomalies,mastectomy,regeneration and spinal cord injuries,beauty,youth and aging. His books include “How to Win in the Youth Game”: The Magic of Plastic Surgery, “Beauty by Design”, “A Plastic Surgeon Answers Your Questions-A Personal Consultation” and ” The War Against Aging”. He is credited with having the first Makeover show on National Television. Dr.Wagner is still offering patient consultations and practicing with a team of reknown Cosmetic surgeons in group practice located in Boca Raton , Florida.
