Heart and Mind Matters

This episode exposes some of the reasons that people who are close to you will not support or celebrate you on your journey to greatness. This act has foundation in the feelings of insecurity, self - doubt and self - hate.

We sometimes are so caught up with desiring things we don't have that we forget to concentrate on and give thanks for the things we do. As people we must be careful of this bad habit, as we have an insatiable appetite to always keep wanting more and more - under the guise of being ambitious and this can lead to the practice of ingratitude, which ultimately ends in an unfulfilled life and unhappiness.

People always tend to put their all into honouring a person after they die. However, it is important to be of help and be a positive influence to people while they live. It is pointless and outright hypocritical to make such an effort to carry off a world class funeral, when the same person while they lived, went through life without support.

Good and bad are part and parcel of this journey called Life and just as the rain is made to fall on the good and the bad, good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. It is our ability to take the blows and roll with the punches that will determine how well we can bend with the changes in life. We need to learn how to be flexible and adapt, if we want to make the best of the vicissitudes of life.

There are some toxic people, who create toxic relationships, but for one reason or another, people are afraid to break off and start over new. But some people are like tonsils; you think you need them, but you can live effortlessly, if you had them removed.

Take control of the way you feel. Do not allow yourself to be carried away by your emotions. We can take charge of negative emotions in four basic steps: 1. identify 2. evaluate 3. arrest 4. check
