This new Sunday Story segment will be aired each Sunday Morning at 9:00 a.m. Each story is one that will make the Heart Happy & definitely pull at your Heart Strings. This week we chronicle the 1998 New York State Championship game & a Fake Punt called Sagittarius. We honor a player and a team who exemplified what it means to play from the Heart. Kory Schram and his team, the 1998 Class A State Champions were the first to win a State Championship in the sport of Football at Aquinas. Love, Coach Lipani
Two more plant based recipes are outlined as Cheryl continues to impress in the Kitchen. Facebook questions roll in and a question is asked by a former colleague and friend that prompts some deep responses from both Cheryl & Anthony while they are in the Kitchen cooking. The responses exemplify how adversity can make a relationship stronger. This is a very powerful episode. Several of the mentors Anthony & Cheryl have worked with are appreciated and mentioned in detail.
This is Part 1 of the recipe exploration sequence. Each Sunday Cheryl prepares 3 to 4 plant based meals and we wanted to teach you how to make them! The first two are: Greens & Beans & Italian Tofu with artichokes & roasted red peppers. Cheryl goes into teach mode and provides a step by step breakdown with four different culinary delights. While we were recording, Anthony was taking live questions on Facebook. In Part 2 we receive a special question from a friend and retired Superintendent Bonnie that makes us both reflect and leads us into a deep response specific to what we learned from each other during our Heart Attack recovery. But you have to listen to this episode first!!!!!!
In this bonus addition, I just wanted to say Happy Sunday to all my former players. I held off joining Facebook for about 20 years until now! Happy Sunday and just know that I love you all!
This episode explores the concept of self awareness & developing the skill or taking control of your health after a Heart Attack. Today's modern medical model of treatment is remarkable. However, what is even more remarkable is the ability to control your own destiny with a plant based diet. Anthony shares some excerpts from Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn's Book "Prevent & Reverse Heart Disease."
In this episode, Kendall & Anthony enjoy a nice breakfast together. Something that happens almost everyday now since Anthony made the decision to step away from his role as Athletic Director 8 months after his Heart Attack. Kendall (Age 6) & Anthony share a typical morning in the Lipani household which really captures Anthony's decision to explore the disciplined pursuit of less in his life. Kendall refers to this as the "Craziness." Anthony also shares some important steps to take if you find yourself seeking the disciplined pursuit of less in your life so you can do the things that really matter.......Like spending more time with your own family!
In this episode (3 of 3 in the launch sequence) we discuss having an Attitude of Gratitude toward the people in your life and for life in general. What's important to note is that the spirit of compassion in the form of gratitude is the best way to pay it forward. During this time of challenge and strife in your life we discuss how capturing the spirit of giving will help the heart heal and be happy. Make your heart happy by being appreciative of the people in your life and your healing process will be accelerated!
