Covert contracts are the unspoken, unacknowledged, and unexpressed expectations we place on others and ourselves to show up in relationship in a specific way. They are secret agreements that degrade and destroy trust, intimacy, and connection over time. Resentment, frustration, and anger can arise when we are operating within covert contracts that do not align with our values. The matrix and its attempts to use and influence your energy are everywhere. When we wake up to how energy works, we have the opportunity to make more conscious decisions about how we invest our energetic, emotional, mental, and physical resources to honor what we truly value. The week of December 26, 2021 to January 1, 2022 begins with a sextile between Mercury and Neptune that presents an opportunity to take swift action to align our current reality closer with our visions and dreams. This energy is accentuated by Jupiter moving into the sign of Pisces on Tuesday, which starts a longer transit over the next few months showing us how innovation thrives when supported by our permission to play.

Although the first part of the week may feel more subjectively pleasant, Wednesday, December 29 marks a turning point and a Venus Retrograde reckoning that ultimately offers greater insights into our past patterns. The word “solstice” originates from Latin roots meaning “Sun” and “to stand still.” According to astronomy, the solstice occurs twice a year when the Sun is the greatest distance from the equator. In astrology, it notes the transition of the Sun to the cardinal signs of Capricorn and Cancer. For the Winter Solstice, we experience the least amount of daylight. For the Summer Solstice, we experience the most amount of daylight.

Wherever you are in the world, the Solstice is a time of pause, a moment of reflection, and a turning point amidst the contrast and extremes. We officially move over the threshold into a new season, a new phase, a new way of co-creating with the dance between light and darkness, known and unknown, seen and unseen.

Everything you desire is possible in some version or form. Create your conscious understanding of what that is and allow the unknown to surprise and delight you with what comes to pass.

The Full Moon in Gemini occurs at approximately 11:34PM ET on Saturday, December 18. What is notable about this Full Moon at 27 degrees of Gemini is that the Sun is conjunct the Galactic Center and its associated black hole at 27 degrees of Sagittarius. In addition to the usual culmination of energy and emotions around a Full Moon, we encounter “black hole” energy and its potent symbolism around choosing to wake up amidst the push-and-pull between light and darkness, power and powerlessness, consciousness and unconsciousness.
