Net Zero, overall, might be dying in Europe. It’s being rejected by voters in seemingly every election in recent years, and even Democrats here in America don’t talk about it anymore when it used to be a pillar of their platform. So why is something called “Dairy Net Zero,” a green zombie from the Biden administration, still alive in the United States? We will discuss what that is, and why it has to go. On Episode 216 of The Climate Realism Show the Heartland Institute’s Sterling Burnett, Anthony Watts, Linnea Lueken, and Jim Lakely are back LIVE with special guest Samantha Fillmore to cover that story and some other Crazy Climate News of the Week. An Obama economic advisor finally admits what we all knew: green energy mandates make energy more expensive. College football schedules should be adjusted because of climate change? And cleaner air is a good thing … except it causes more global warming. Join us Friday at 1 p.m. ET on YouTube, Rumble, X, and Facebook. September 11th, 2001, was one of the darkest days in U.S. history. Almost 3,000 Americans died, and it is not a stretch to argue that it changed the course of American life forever. While the lives lost were the worst impact by far, policy decisions made in the aftermath still hurt us today, many of which were foundational for today's powerful surveillance state. The panel will discuss their personal experience with the terror attack, and the bad policy that followed. Also, The Heartland Institute has released an important study ranking states based on how they handle Medicaid. Government is very fond of wasting your money, but some states waste less than others. We look at what the difference is between the top performing states, and the worst. For UNHINGED: One year after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, violence is still being celebrated by the left. It is ugly and vile and we're going to talk about it. And for America @ 250 - This week in 1776, The United States of America officially gets her name. The Heartland Institute's Linnea Lueken, Jim Lakely, and S.T. Karnick, will talk about all of this and more on Episode #552 of the In The Tank Podcast. The Heartland Institute President James Taylor joins Andrew Wilkow on The Wilkow Majority to make the free-market case for AI data centers, pushing back on the Chinese Communist Party-linked money fueling many of the activists. Taylor argues that if America goes "low tech," it risks becoming a has-been nation in the race against China, and lays out why brownfield sites, like Newark's abandoned factories, are the smart place to build. He draws a parallel to how the fracking boom transformed poverty-stricken towns in Texas and North Dakota into thriving communities. Taylor also addresses conservative distrust of Big Tech head-on, explaining why Heartland, which has fought tech censorship for years, believes a "trust but verify" approach can secure free speech protections as these companies build out the next era of American infrastructure. California may be only one state, but are its climate regulations effectively becoming national policy? In Episode #212 of The Climate Realism Show, host Andy Singer is joined by Linnea Lueken, Anthony Watts, and H. Sterling Burnett to break down how California’s climate and environmental regulations can affect consumers, businesses, and supply chains far beyond the state’s borders. The main story examines California rules targeting ships docked at the state’s massive ports, along with vehicle and equipment regulations that critics argue function as a “hidden climate tax” on Americans nationwide. With California ports handling a huge share of U.S. imports and the state’s enormous market influencing what manufacturers produce, how much power should one state have to shape the national economy? The panel also digs into several other major climate and energy stories: 🍔 Drive-Thru Climate Ban: Culver City is considering restrictions on new drive-through restaurants, with greenhouse-gas emissions, vehicle idling, air quality, and pedestrian-oriented development among the reasons cited. Is blocking new drive-throughs meaningful climate policy, or regulatory overreach? ⚖️ Climate Chapter Pulled: The National Academies of Sciences temporarily removed a climate-science chapter from the Reference Manual on Scientific Evidence while reviewing concerns about how the chapter was developed and potential conflicts involving people connected to climate litigation. 🔥 Solar Fire Surge: UK fire-service data show incidents involving solar-panel systems increased sharply between 2022 and 2025, significantly faster than the growth in installations. Are subsidies and aggressive deployment targets outpacing installation quality, inspections, and fire-safety standards? 🚢 California’s National Reach: From cargo ships and port infrastructure to cars, engines, and equipment, the panel examines whether California is simply exercising authority granted under federal law or using its economic power to impose de facto national regulations without a national vote. Conservatives often point at socialism and more or less leave the argument at "these guys are crazy!" -- But the DSA do point to some real problems, like the cost of medical care, how big companies can run roughshod over ordinary Americans, and that public infrastructure is failing in our cities as well as rural communities. But socialist solutions from Medicare for All to eating the rich will only exacerbate those problems, not solve them. We talk about actual solutions, and why socialism fails. Meanwhile, inflation is falling, which is good, but how long can it last? What should the government do (if anything) to keep inflation down? On UNHINGED: DSA leadership really does hate America, from its very foundation. And for America @ 250, we look at how the London newspapers reacted to the Declaration, and we'll see that politically-driven fake news is not a modern phenomenon. The Heartland Institute's Linnea Lueken, Chris Talgo, and S.T. Karnick, will talk about all of this and more on Episode #548 of the In The Tank Podcast.
