But we see Yeshua, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Hebrews 2:9-10
Yeshua’s obedience and sufferings brought him into spiritual maturity.
Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered.
Hebrews 5:8
In this teaching session, we learn that Yeshua:
*Learned obedience through his sufferings (Heb 2:10, Heb 5:8)
*Is a faithful and merciful High Priest (Heb 2:17)
Our spiritual maturity grows and develops from obeying Him and His Torah:
“And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.” Hebrews 5: 9
The goal and target in our walk in following Yeshua and His Torah is to come into wholeness, completeness, and maturity:
“Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:13
The highest form of following the Torah is to walk in Yeshua’s love.
Walking in love is spiritual maturity.
“And above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfectness.” Colossians 3: 14
