And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from Mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his RIGHT HAND went a fiery Torah for them. Deut. 33:2

The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name. Thy RIGHT HAND, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy RIGHT HAND, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy. Ex. 15: 1,6

Who has believed our report? And to whom has the ARM of the LORD been revealed?

He is despised and rejected by men,

A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.

And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;

He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Isaiah 53:1,3

From these verses we see that the right hand of Yahweh is Yeshua and that this RIGHT HAND is the one who gave us the fiery Torah at Mt Sinai. The ARM (or hand) of the Lord IS Yeshua, the man of sorrows, acquainted with grief, who was wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for our iniquities. Yeshua IS the Lawgiver who gave us the fiery Torah at Mt Sinai!

And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Luke 1:33

What was the NAME of the covenant family that received the Torah at Mt Sinai? Was it given only to the Jews? The name of the covenant family that received the Torah is the House of Jacob (Ex. 19:3). This includes both the physical and nonphysical descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who put the blood of the lamb on the doorposts. The house of Jacob includes both the two tribes of the Southern kingdom (Judah) AND the ten tribes of the Northern kingdom (Joseph/Ephraim/Israel). Together, they make up the House of Jacob. Israel is described as an olive tree. in Romans 11, Paul explains that BOTH the wild branches (Romans 11:17) and natural branches (Romans 11: 24) are grafted in. Yeshua is the root of that olive tree and the branches are His covenant family.

In this session, Eddie lays a foundation and connects what happened at Creation with the events at Mt Sinai. Yeshua gave the Torah at Mount Sinai (Isaiah 33:22, James 4:12). Eddie unpacks the Hebrew word, Breisheet, and decodes the meaning of the word: That the God of Israel wanted to build a house for His son, fill this house up with family and that He would do it through covenant. This plan was there at the very beginning of creation. The Torah is wisdom and By wisdom the earth was founded (Prov 3:19, Psalm 136:5). Torah is wisdom. Yeshua created the heavens and the earth. (Col 1:15-16) Yeshua IS the wisdom of God. (1 Cor 1:24)This means that Yeshua IS the Living Torah. The Torah being given at Mt Sinai is the COMPLETION of the PURPOSE of Creation. The purpose of creation is for the Torah to be given to the nation of Israel.

When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. Deuteronomy 24:1

Yeshua found uncleaness in his bride. She committed spiritual adultery and was unfaithful to him at the golden calf incident. (Exodus 32:4)He gave her a bill of divorce:

And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also. Jeremiah 3:8

He kicks her out of His house, and sends her into exile. The Northern kingdom went to Assyria, while Southern kingdom went to Babylon. The Northern kingdom became “married” to Assyria. The Southern kingdom became “married” to Babylon. The Assyrians didn’t treat the exiles of Israel well. The Babylonians didn’t treat the exiles of Judah well. They became hated. They were kicked out of those nations (persecutions, pogroms, holocaust).

Being cast into the nations of the world, being exiled to the nations of the world, this is a form of divorce. The former husband is Yeshua, who sent her away. The Torah tells us that He cannot take her back:

Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the LORD: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance. Deuteronomy 24:4

He cannot violate the Torah regarding marriage/divorce (Deuteronomy 24:1-4). He loves his unfaithful bride so much that He lays down His life for, so He could redeem His bride, forgive her of her sins, and make a new marriage covenant with his bride, both Northern AND Southern kingdom, all 12 tribes. This is WHY Yeshua HAD to die on the tree.

In this session, we review what the Torah consequences are for a wife who commits whoredom against her husband. They include:

*she will drink bitter water/be given a bitter cup

*she is slain with the sword

*her curses are written in a book and blotted out

*she is forsaken by her husband

*her husband hides his face from her

*she is slain with thirst

*she is stripped naked

*she is scorned

*she is mocked for her whoredom

*her enemies cast lots for her

In looking at this list, we are going to see that the manner of Yeshua’s death on the tree, that He took upon himself all of these curses of His adulterous bride. Yeshua died the death of the penalty of an adulterous woman. In the same way that the house of Jacob was afflicted, He was afflicted (Is. 63:8-9). Yeshua laying down His life to redeem His Bride is the greatest love of all.

For He said, “Surely they are My people,

Children who will not lie.”

So He became their Savior.

n all their affliction He was afflicted,

And the Angel of His Presence saved them;

In His love and in His pity He redeemed them;

And He bore them and carried them

All the days of old. Isaiah 63:8-9

In the garden of Eden there was a marriage between Adam and Eve. This was a foreshadowing and a prophecy about the marriage between Yeshua and His bride.

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Ephesians 5: 25-27

Then Paul makes a connection about Yeshua being married to His bride and connects it back to Adam being married to Eve:

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Ephesians 5:31

What is the mystery? It is understanding the Torah at the deeper sod level. Paul is quoting from Genesis 2:29. In connecting the marriage of Adam and Eve to the marriage of Yeshua to His bride, it is showing us that Adam marrying Eve foreshadows and prophesies to the future marrying of Yeshua to His bride.

So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. Gen 3: 24

The phrase “he drove out” from the verse above, in Hebrew is garash and it means: to drive out, expel, cast out, drive away, to divorce.

At the deeper sod level, we see that Yahweh divorced Adam and Eve when He expelled them from the garden. This is a prophetic foreshadowing of when the House of Jacob fell into gold calf worship at Mt Sinai, committing spiritual adultery against their bridegroom.
