The Book of II Kings, chapter 12 is the story of the (at least initially) young King Joash/Yehoash of Judah, who, at least in part, “did what was right in the eyes of YHVH.”

Which makes it sound like there’s a lot more to the story, and indeed there is. And a whole lot of it resonates strongly with what we still see going on all around us.

Often times the stories from Scripture just seem SO applicable to what is still happening that it’s hard to imagine NOT seeing the parallels!
