#425. ‘A continuous present you know it no, is a continuous present.’ by Antrianna Moutoula.

Antrianna Moutoula (Athens, 1994) is a language-based artist, continuously puzzled by how to perform the real. Recurring themes in her work are the performativity of intimate relationships and the ordinary events of everyday life.

Her current research centres around nonstop languaging, a solo, autotheoretical practice in which she performs streams of consciousness by tracing her thoughts through language simultaneously in spoken and written form. Nonstop languaging emerged from her need to articulate the present. By engaging with this practice in different contexts, she craves to contribute to a renegotiation of the confinements, norms, and protocols of knowledge production within artistic academic discourse.
“A continuous present you know it no, is a continuous present” is the title of the biweekly show that Antrianna hosts at radio WORM. Through her radio performances she seeks ephemeral encounters with necessary others. In the articulation of that present, she finds possibilities for carrying the self and (forming/digesting) theory. Streams made of speculations, instant patterns, lyrics, tricks-to-trick-me, readymade thoughts, the feminine voice. This new work springs from the existing title and unfolds into an unedited inquiry in and through language.

    Produced for Worm/Klangendum, february 2022.

#423. Onafhankelijke audio-non-visuele misverstanden en vondsten. Een tweetal korte absurdistische hoorspelen van de Rotterdamse performance en muziekgroep Coolhaven, aangevuld -het uur moet vol- met twee van hun meer muzikale pogingen. Oud werk, dat het waard is om herhaald te worden.

#422. Onafhankelijke radiofonische geluidskunst. In onze reeks oude favorieten, uit 2006, het stuk ‘Poppenvlees’, van schrijver Erik Ward Geeerlings, met muziek van Pierre Bastien. Met daarna een kort werkje van het Rotterdamse kunstcollectief ‘Woodstone Kugelblitz’; Rots van Mijn Behoud.

    MORE INFO;

A radio version of a piece by Geerlings, which was previously performed on the boards as a mime, dance, or  theatre. It¹s a monologue by an expensive sort of sex-toy (not a blow-up-doll we concluded!) called Alphie. Alphie messes up a relationship, and doesn¹t come out unscathed.
With mostly mechanical music, from the French instrument builder/musician/composer, Pierre Bastien. Bastien is also known for his work for the Rephlex label, and Geerlings is known because he is an inspired Rotterdams theatre writer, who¹s worked in the past with Paul De Jong (The Books).

Tekst: Erik-Ward Geerlings. Muziek: Pierre Bastien. Directeur en mixage: Lukas Simonis. Stem: Nanette Edens.

Senta, Pasolini. [The School of Radio].

    MORE INFO:

Marta De Pascalis is an Italian musician and sound-designer based in Berlin. Her solo works employ analog synthesis and a tape-loop system, whereby she creates patterns of repetition that shape a sense of a dense, dynamic and cathartic distance.
Her sound touches a wide range of electronic music genres, such as ambient, Berlin school first excursions, psychedelic, and tape music.
She has produced three solo albums: the self-released Quitratue (2014), Anzar by the Touch-affiliated The Tapeworm imprint (2016), and Sonus Ruinae, released on September 2020 by experimental Berlin label Morphine Records.
She has performed in different festivals and venues, notably Museo Reina Sofia, Biennale di Venezia, Berghain, Funkhaus, Café Oto, Mutek Festival.

#419. Onafhankelijke radiofonische projecten.

Wet Dreams of the Pope (2007).

The story is about a hypocritical Pope to whom a hypocritical mass of humanity were willing to forgive his annoying political gestures in favour of the far right and spiritual oppression, spiritually kicking liberation theologists where it hurts most and beatifying and lionizing the most oppressive kingpins of Catholicism. It also deals with the political intrigues surrounding the mysterious death of the whistleblowing and house cleaning John Paul I to be replaced by II, who turned a blind eye to Opus Dei, the Vatican bank scandals and other spiritual hypocrisies and became a champ of the good old boys network.

    Text:

    Black Sifichi, Bart Plantenga.

Produced , Composed & Edited by:

Dr. Klangendum before they were born.

    Cast:

Black Sifichi (Narrator), Roma Napoli (Velena), Yosel (The Pope), Bart Plantenga (Producer), Gondolier & Marcinckus (DJ Pausa, Lukas Simonis)

This radioplay was a co-production from WORM with VPRO Radio6 / Café Sonore.

    Thanks; Armeno Alberts.

    THE RAFT:

    Written by Xentossula Fraytonian Bentoz.
    With music by Felix Kubin.

An exciting action-thriller with unmistakably squirmy undertones. And the apparently ‘happy end’ is not quite as it should be (without wanting to give it all away, the legless, Scaninavian terrorist and the reality-t.v. producer seem to have a lot in common).

This is a joint effort from the London radio play virtuoso Bentoz (radio resonance), the Hamburg underground superstar Felix Kubin and the RadioWorm crew.

    Language; English.   Duration; 60′.

    Music by Felix Kubin.
Guitar, Bass and Background vocals: Viktor Marek.
Directed and produced by Lukas Simonis.
and acted by: Stephie Buttrich, Peter Fengler, Peter George Blakeney, Joe Monk, Inge Willemsen, Alex Hart.

#417. Een drama/docu door Dr. Klangendum zelf: ‘Glasgow; 18 million trees can’t be wrong part II’.

Of Rotterdam Glasgow: ‘Going away Coming Home’.

Interviews deel II: Barry Burns, Mark Vernon, Tony Morris, Gyz La

Rivière, Ellie Harrison, Weegee, Graeme & Fraser.

    Rotterdam, Glasgow november/december 2021.
