Mildred Coor Scherer, 101, of Henrico, passed away April 6, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace E. Scherer, Sr. She is survived by her two sons, Wallace E. Scherer, Jr., of Frederick, Maryland and Richard L. Scherer (Mary Beth); four grandchildren, Richard L. Scherer, Jr., John W. Scherer, Christopher S. Scherer and Robert A. Virginia legislators recently accepted the governor’s substitute to a bill banning firearms on and near Capitol Square, as well as in state buildings. Lawmakers voted last year to ban firearms from the state Capitol. Senate Bill 1381, introduced by Sen. Adam P.
