In this episode, I sit down with my longtime guitarist and friend, Jim Robbins, to share the raw, real story of chasing music, losing it, and finding it again. Jim left his career in NYC to follow the music dream, and together we dove headfirst into years of adventures in Los Angeles—working with some of our idols, playing unforgettable shows, and living that wild, creative ride.
But the industry highs came with lows, and eventually the burnout hit so hard that Jim couldn’t even pick up his guitar. He hated music. He walked away.
Fast-forward a decade, and something magical happened—we got back on stage together for the first time in 10 years. That spark reignited. Jim grabbed new gear, found his joy again, and remembered why we started making music in the first place.
We talk about that journey, the lessons learned, how we’ve grown, and where we’re heading next—including new music and more shows with Otto’s Daughter.
This conversation is for anyone who’s ever lost their passion, questioned their path, or needed a reminder that it’s never too late to fall in love with your art all over again.
