This is Part 2 of my conversation with Luna from Alabaster Ministries.

In this episode, we move beyond her story and begin unpacking the beliefs, practices, and rapid growth of the New Age movement.

We talk about how to engage people caught up in these practices, how to evangelise with wisdom and patience, and why discernment is critical for Christians today.

This week I’m joined by Luna from Alabaster Ministries to hear her story of leaving the New Age and coming to faith in Christ.

Before becoming a Christian, Luna was deeply involved in witchcraft, Wicca, yoga philosophy, tarot, shamanism, spirit guides, and occult spiritual practices. In this conversation she shares what first drew her in, the spiritual experiences she had, and the moment Jesus met her in the darkness and called her to follow Him.

We also talk about the appeal of the New Age, why it feels so convincing, and how the local church helped ground her in Scripture and truth after her conversion.

What does it biblically look like to be a mum—especially when you’re tired, overwhelmed, and pulled in ten directions? Leah (Raising Disciples) talks practical discipleship, routines that reduce chaos, decision-making around work vs home, and a biblical framework for discipline that aims at restoration (not payback).

Prayer can feel confusing, especially if you’ve been taught that “real prayer” must be spontaneous, emotional, and uninterrupted. In this episode, Cass talks with Australian theologian Peter Adam about prayerfulness: what prayer is biblically, how prepared prayers can actually deepen sincerity, and how the Holy Spirit helps us pray through weakness.

Peter also shares honestly about praying through depression, why Psalm 88 is a gift to sufferers, and why sometimes the most faithful thing is to lean on the prayers of trusted friends. We finish with practical steps to grow in prayer and a pastoral prayer to end the episode.

Impromptu episode that is a love letter to the Church as a whole. This is my heart. One for unity. And one for us to grow in discernment. 

In this episode, I address the growing exposure of cover-up culture, false prophecy, and spiritual abuse within parts of the modern church—particularly within charismatic and prophetic movements, though not limited to them.

In light of recent investigations and public apologies, we examine the biblical difference between apology and repentance, what Scripture actually teaches about false teachers and fruit, and why Christians should not be surprised when wolves are revealed among the flock.

This episode also speaks directly to:

• How to test teaching biblically without reacting in extremes
• Why discernment matters in every denomination
• How churches should prepare to care for those leaving abusive or deceptive movements
• The danger of itching ears, emotionalism, and biblical illiteracy
• Why repentance must be visible, costly, and long-term

As we reach the final day of our Christmas Advent series, we turn our eyes fully and finally to Jesus Himself.
