Valerian is an “old school” herb that has many wonderful benefits in our practice – you just need to get past the smelly part with the root.  I am adding this herb to my garden this year and I am really excited to work with it in the fall.  Join me today with another episode in our Herbal Magic series. Valerian has long historical use in help with sleeping disorders and insomnia. It has a calming effect on our nervous system and can be used to alleviate symptoms of anxiety and stress.
