  • Covid Convo: An alternative perspective with Stephanie Sibbio

We are chatting with the lovely Stephanie Sibbio of the popular insta account 100millionmoms. Stephanie has been labeled an "anti-masker" and "anti-vaxxer" due to her opinions and choices to not wear a mask or get the Covid vaccine and she shares her experiences due to these choices. We wanted to chat with Stephanie for this reason, but also because she is a health professional and has done a TON of research about this pandemic and has a lot of information as well as a different perspective that goes against the common narrative we are constantly hearing on every news channel. Stephanie reminds us of the importance to always ask questions, do your research and to be a critical thinker. It was a refreshing conversation and to learn from someone on the other side of the proverbial (covid) fence.

  • Free Them! pt. 2 feat. Shae Invidiata

We are joined for a part two of our conversation with the one and only Shae Invidiata, Founder of Free Them, the not-for-profit organization dedicated to ending human slavery. With so much to cover, we wanted Shae to take us on a deeper dive into why the world has allowed the abuse, exploitation and objectification of children to become such a lucrative and multi-billion dollar business. We wanted to know who the key players are in this industry and why the media almost never reports on what should be considered one of the biggest news stories in the world. We are imploring all of our listeners to take a stand and start speaking out against human slavery and the suffering of our most vulnerable, our children. Make no mistake, this is a very serious issue and it IS happening right in our own backyards!

  • Chippendales and Women's Liberation! feat. Dr. Natalia Petrzela

Ever seen a 'Magic Mike' or 'Thunder Down Under,' or any other choreographed male dance (strip) show? If so, have you ever wondered how they got started or to go even deeper have you ever wondered if they played a part in the women's liberation movement? Probably not, and neither had we until we discovered the incredibly engaging and fascinating Dr. Natalia Petrzela, a NYC based Historian, Author, Teacher, Activist and podcast host.  Natalia co-produced and hosted the podcast "Welcome to Your Fantasy," which chronicles the history of the "Chippendales." If you don't know what that is, you're about to find out! But that isn't all we wanted to chat to Natalia about, we wanted to talk about how the beginning of an all-male strip show that was originally JUST for women, may we be so bold to say, could have had a hand (or other body parts ;) in shaping the women's liberation movement and how that has translated into where we are today. Natalia shares her POV, expertise and some fun tidbits on the "Chippendale's" guys. Grab a stiff drink and tune in!

  • Society and it's standards can just F*ck off sometimes!

It's just us on this one and we are coming in hot with our thoughts and opinions on some recent trending events in the media, i.e. Khloe's "photogate," Rachel Hollis' tone deaf comments, being in a THIRD lockdown and mainstream media in general. We wanted to chat all this out because each topic hits on serious issues that continue to plague society and are endlessly perpetuated by the media. Like the unattainable beauty standards that even the celebs that created them seemingly can't handle, the cancel culture monster society has created with a blood thirsty appetite and feeling like you can't trust anything you see, read or hear anymore. We are calling it all out and sharing the realizations we have come to and how we have changed our perceptions and are pivoting our approach to how we choose to receive information from now on as well as the importance of critical thinking.

  • Gut health and Covid feat. Dr. Sapna Makhija

We are talking serious "shit" on this episode, literally and figuratively. Joined by Dr. Sapna Makhija, specialist in Gastroenterology and certified nutrition coach we get into the importance of a healthy gut and how your gut health could put you at risk of experiencing worse Covid-19 symptoms during and after contracting the virus. Dr. Makhija also shares what to look for in your poop after a bowel movement, and yes, you should be checking out your own poop regularly.  She breaks down some serious misconceptions about how often you should have bowel movements, what is actually irregular and why most vitamins and supplements are probably just ending up as "expensive pee." Dr. Makhija tells us some hilarious stories and experiences that come with being in her field, she also gives great tips on how to keep your gut health in check!

We are joined by well known Canadian Tiktoker and content creator Julia Grandoni, and does she have a story to tell! Hers is one that feels like it could only happen in a movie, but it is very much Julia's reality. Julia tells us about how she went from serving tables at a Montreal restaurant to serving up Tik Tok ads essentially over night. It started with a video about an angry customer that went viral which led to Tik Tok sliding into her DMs! Julia talks about the importance of being her authentic self as a content creator and giving back to her community. She feels a lot of gratitude for her new found notoriety and where that has gotten her and wants to help others reach their ultimate potential too. • No Budget Babe! feat. Nicole Victoria

Ladies it is time to say good-bye to budgets and to start changing the way you look at money and manage your finances. We are joined by Nicole Victoria, Founder and CEO of No Budget Babe. Nicole is a Money Coach and a financial literacy advocate, she specializes in helping women in their 20's and 30's properly manage their money and build bank accounts that never stop growing. Nicole shares about her own financial hardships that lead her down the path to learn everything she could about personal finances until she developed the perfect formula and from there No Budget Babe was born. We learned so much from this chat, why budgets don't actually work, how to properly invest, why a financial advisor might not be the best bet for you (even if they don't work for a bank) and tons of other tips, you can hear Lauren vigorously jotting down notes throughout the episode so you might want to have a pen and paper handy. If you are interested in a different perspective on finances, investments and money management, you need to take a listen!

  • Free Them! feat. Shae Invidiata

*Trigger Warning* This episode may contain triggering subject matter - We are talking about a very frightening and upsetting, yet unfortunately a very real global issue, Human Trafficking. We are joined by Shae Invidiata the Founder of the not-for-profit organization Free-Them. Since 2010 Shae and her team of dedicated volunteers have been working towards awakening the world to the dark secrets of human trafficking by focusing on generating awareness, advocacy, education and strengthening government policies on human trafficking and the exploitation of persons. Shae talks about the importance of reframing perspectives and language around the victims of human trafficking which are primarily women and children, the most vulnerable. She also shares the staggering monetary statistics that are generated by the business/trade of humans and why that is the biggest reason it exists and continues to grow at a rapid pace as well as many other FACTS. Some of the biggest questions we had is, if "everyone" is so against the sale of children for sex and slavery, why is it still happening? Why do we not hear about it in the media? Why would governments and societies not be taking a much bigger and louder stance against it? We put these questions to you, our listeners, ask yourselves these questions. Sadly, many of the answers point in a direction we don't want to believe (think the elite). We can no longer operate under the "ignorance is bliss" mentality, it is time our societies come together and use all voices to demand the end of this abhorrent business. We need to protect our children and the exploited. Those participating and profiting off human trafficking must be exposed and brought to justice! Please listen and learn how you can take a stand and join the fight to end human trafficking.

  • A trip down episode lane!

We learn at least one thing from every episode we do, and often the learnings we take away are about ourselves. We have been able to develop more confidence, tools to better our mental health, how to have a good relationship with money, tips on building a business, how to talk about sexual needs, how to cope with insecurities, even how to breathe properly! The learning really has been endless and we have our guests to thank for all of it! So in this episode we wanted to take a trip down what we are calling episode lane and recounting many of the episodes that really resonated with us personally. Some of which we even made commitments to making a change in our lives and we asked 'you', our listeners to hold us accountable for, so take a listen to see where we are at with those. By no means is this a recap of favourite episodes, because they are all faves for different reasons and we love each and every guest for their uniqueness and willingness to share their stories, experiences and expertise with us and our listeners. So consider this the first of what we hope will be one of many "trip down episode lane" episodes!
