The apocalypse of Adam is a very unique text from the Nag Hammadi library. In this text, Adam tells his son Seth about the "true God" and about the evils of the God that "made them". During this story, Adam, or the first man recounts how his wife Yves remembered this truth from long ago from the realm she came from. This is a beautiful example of gnostic text that certainly seems to go against the grain of popular modern theology.
