2015 has been a great summer at the movies...if you're Universal or Disney. For everyone else, it's rough out there. 

Universal is having a stellar summer, and the box office success of Straight Outta Compton continues what has been a great run of diverse films in 2015. 

The newest talented duo to make their way to HBO are some guys named Bert and Ernie. Maybe you've heard of them? The iconic children's show, Sesame Street, made a five year deal to offer new episodes first on HBO. Episodes will still appear on PBS, though nine months later.

Emmy nominations were announced this morning, and once again critics were crying "snub!"-- but not as often as in previous years. Critics loved FX's The Americans and the CW's Jane the Virgin, but neither show received much attention from the TV Academy. At least actress Tatiana Maslany from Orphan Black finally got a nomination.
