Univision said they would drop Donald Trump's beauty pageants from their network after Trump made derogatory statements of Mexican immigrants during his announcement of his intention to run for president. Now, more and more businesses are cutting ties with the one-time host of the Celebrity Apprentice whose signature phrase was, of course, "You're fired."

An exposé by Fortune magazine offers new revelations on the hack attack on Sony studios at the end of 2014. A six-month investigation by Peter Elkind found that security at Sony was lax and that Sony executives had been warned multiple times before the hack occurred.

NBC has announced that Brian Williams will be coming back, but not as the host of Nightly News. Instead he'll be reporting breaking news on MSNBC. Lester Holt, who has been filling in at Nightly News since Williams was suspended, will become the full-time anchor of the show. 

Rupert Murdoch has announced he will step down from his position as chief executive at 21st Century Fox. His son James will take his position, while Rupert Murdoch will remain an executive chairman at the company. Murdoch's other son, Lachlan, will become co-executive chairman. 

Billionaire cable mogul John Malone has recently re-emerged from retirement. After negotiating a merger between Charter Communications and Time Warner Cable, Malone is now eyeing even more media consolidation opportunities.

Advertisers are fleeing from the TLC show 19 Kids and Counting following a scandal involving the show's oldest son, Josh Duggar. The network has put the show on hold temporarily, but has not officially cancelled it.

Matthew Belloni has just returned from Cannes, where several actors were lauded for memorable performances, but there was no consensus about a breakout film of the festival. Netflix's Ted Sarandos gave a keynote, but was heckled by a French journalist who said he company was destroying the film eco-system.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron will make a giant splash at theaters this weekend, possibly even breaking records and cementing itself as yet another blockbuster for Disney and Marvel. Warner Bros and DC Comics on the other hand, is struggling to find an effective master of their universe.
