There is a part of you that speaks without words. That intuits in the dark. That ties you to the web of our shared humanity. This way of knowing isn’t verified or scientifically proven. In fact, it’s usually brushed aside as “hysterics” or “woo woo”. It can’t be measured or quantified and so it is dismissed. When in fact, it is the energetic connection that holds together our material realities. Without it, the structure of reality ceases. This is your Solar Plexus. Your ability to feel and translate its knowing. And this week the sun shined bright upon our spiritual intelligence. The aspect of our psyches that self generates the impulse of creation as a whole.

This Heavenly Body of Virgo is connected to the unseen. A steward of the temples we build within. The 6 transcends the friction driven paradigm of the unconscious impulse that perpetuates its shadow as a recurring reminder of resonance in form. What it is to become one with the center of our gravity. To revolve the orbital, transiting movements of life experience, in its peaks and valleys and remain. Conflict assumes the inability to merge, while diplomacy shape shifts in honor of its nature.

Gene Key 6: The Shadow of Conflict, The Gift of Diplomacy, The Siddhi of Peace

GK 6 is physiological correlated to the mesenteric plexus or lumbar ganglia. This is a series of sympathetic nerves that signal to the Intestines, Colon and reproductive organs for that help with digestion and blood flow. Glycine helps with inhibitory processes in the gut and reproductive organs to manage inflammation and mucous membranes. “The lumbar ganglia and mesenteric plexus transmit autonomic signals shaping gut and reproductive organ function. Glycine acts as a brake in these circuits, preventing overactivation.” - ChatGPT upon questioning the connection between the mesenteric plexus and glycine. To me this signals that reproduction and elimination are influenced by each other. Emotional processing encourages motility and digestion and brings blood flow to reproductive organs. Translated energetically, in allowing the flow of our own unique energetic rhythm’s we can better connect with each other. External conflict is symptom of unresolved internal conflicts and the unseen tension between those two orientations.

GK 6 is relationally community drive and emotion by nature. The shadow operates from fear based frequency of protecting its individuality and personal power. Responding to a sensitivity to the boundaries and merging in relationships. It requires a surrender to the sovereignty of both beings and can adapotand maintain its structure under outside influence. To transcend this shadow, we transcend sexual desire/impulse physically and open to new explorations of spiritual truth in connection to our tribe and loved ones. In the gene keys, Richard Rudd talks about the affects of GK 6 being auric/energetic in its communication. Diplomacy is energetic settling of the differences when we come together. The allowance of another’s energetic disposition in communion with your own.

Hexagram 6 : Contention, Heaven over Water

This hexagram impresses the importance of “common ground”. This furthers the translations of the gene keys, in coming together in sovereignty. This is not about voicing our differences, but in knowing our human experience is as equally powerful in its feeling. The advice of hexagram 6 is connected to “when truth is blocked”. In HD, 6 is connected to the Solar Plexus. Our centers of emotional processing, personal power and Truth. Truth as defined as the spiritual experience of the moment, ever changing and fluid. There are some universal truths that we all agree on and many of them can be qualified in feeling which sometimes lies outside of tangible measurement.

Gate 6: Conflict, the Gate of Friction

In the Definitive Book of Human Design, this gate emphasizes the mechanically operation of Gate 6’s influence on the aura which is also iterated in the Gene Keys explanation as well. Gate 6 is the auric friction we experience when we step into another persons aura. When these mechanics are resolved, intimacy can continue. The 6 is not open during friction until a level of spiritual awareness from the Solar Plexus can be reached. Friction is meant to be listened to and not avoided. Before intimacy with another there should be a Truth in Spirit. This is about religious belief system alignment or spiritual authority, this an energetic communication. A way of knowing that stands outside of what can be measured or seen in the mundane. An amalgamation of all energetic disputes in any given environment. There are many and this comes back to “being in the mood” and personal capacity.

A week of profound apparent displays of Oppression and Exhaustion. We are controlled, encoded, deciphered by the collective unconscious womb of creation. Gene Key 47: The Shadow of Oppression, The Gift of Transmutation, The Siddhi of Transfiguration

GK 47 is coded to the amino acid glycine, just as last week’s activation in 64. Also physiologically attributed to the “Neocortex”. Upon research the connection between Glycine and the neocortex lies in Glycine’s ability to modulate “excitatory and inhibitory” synapses and signals in the brain. Basically helps the body to balance overstimulation and under stimulation. The neocortex is where neuro plasticity, learning and higher order *cognition (look at cognition in your bodygraph) happen in the brain.

The shadow of oppression is the DNA memory that was inherited and programs what we fear. Our fear is a manifestation of unresolved karma. An enactment of loops trying to evolve “stuck energy” from the body. There is no processing of new information because we are coded by the 47 and our “junk DNA” through these karmic patterns that were passed down. The gift of Transfiguration is the alchemy were capable of when we approach and look into our deepest fears. The things we distract ourselves from and avoid. There is massive potential here to absolve old karmic patterns and begin living our own emergent mythic stories of Selfhood. Our bodies are magical vessels that spiritually transmute and alchemize.

Hexagram 47 : Exhausting, Lake over Water

This hexagram reinforces the importance of accepting situations with faith and ease. If we look at the Gene Key interpretation and overlay, this is about receptivity and openness to learning something new about the situations and people we encounter in life. Fractal patterns of nature cannot be logically projected or predicted. They emerge in a diverse intelligent order and when we stay open to the emergent pattern of nature, we do not exhaust ourselves with KNOWING. This gua is translated as one of the most difficult in all 64. It is the most extreme positions a person can encounter, to be totally exhausted of faculties and resources. Lake over water denotes a need for replenishment, a lake that is barren of water. The water is below the lake, not in it. This is where we find we have nothing to distract us from our deepest fears in life.

Gate 47: Oppression, the Gate of Realization

In the Definitive Book of Human Design, this gate emphasizes the importance of resisting the pressure to act on conclusions prematurely. And is an energy the takes enjoyment of potential and possibility. Ease lies in the fluid relaxation of what is to come. Gate 47 is apart of the Sensing circuitry rooted in the Solar Plexus’ awareness of experience. This circuitry is driven towards emotional and spiritual growth and is driven by relational experiences with life. The Solar Plexus is the evolutionary impulse of what is to come and propels us to look at building new worlds instead of maintaining old ones.

The aloneness of Virgo’s 40 energy came rushing in without warning. My ideas of Aloneness have been expanded into dialogues around personal sovereignty alongside others. Not complete and isolated solitude but the purity of selfhood in community. A deep discernment of what I want, what fills me up, what nourishes me into livelihood, the guiding light of my hermit heart. 40 is activated by the Heart center, a motor center that connects us to the pulse of life. The intelligence of the Heart center exclaims what it is that we have to give this the world. It is the exchange network of material reality. The Heart is the center of tribal circuitry, of the propelling force to come together and tend to each other.

This quality of Virgo’s discernment shows us the importance of inidividual sovereignty. To know thyself is an exercise of our relationship to community. Not the generalized neighborly understanding of community. But the interconnected systems that hold us. Our bodies, our friends, our homes.

Our aloneness is the void from which the creative impulse is inspired into reality.

Our ego’s have involuted, meaning that in becoming a singular ME with preferences and differences and gifts, I am here to offer something that only I could. It is a normal and natural desire to be received and supported. It is apart of the ego’s process. The pulse of our heart is the connective thread to the timeless, omniscient soul Oneness that perhaps we all originated. This is the connection between the G-Center and the Heart working to guide us towards mutual coexistence by following love.

Love as the the rhythm and energy to move towards what it is we create and resonate with. To create, and work, and play to find out what it is that moves us. The reason to incarnate at all.

Observation Notes

Hexagram 40 : Relief

Continues to stress harmony to bring relief after hardship (39). A shapeshifting intelligent nature of progression or retreat in accessing what the situation calls for. Mutual support is highlighted in translation of 40’s energy. Thunder over Rain indicates the cleansing of the atmosphere. Once the rain exhausts itself, the land has been clarified. There is relief. This translation lends credit to interpretations that stress the importance of the Heart’s intelligence. When we force ourselves to enact during dangerous situations (thunderstorms), we fight the currents (rain). Once storms have passed, the danger has subsided. The danger of 40 is (perhaps) the shadow of exhaustion.

Gene Key 40: The Shadow of Exhaustion, The Gift of Resolve, The Siddhi of Divine Will

Physiologically related to the stomach- where we receive sustenance and nutrients. Gene key 40 is coded to the amino acid Glycine which serves as a sort of hinge/connecting bridge that provides the structure necessary to detox, integrate and rest. A lot of its functions move towards rest versus action. And is one of the most abundant amino acids in the body with about 11-12% of the bodies amino acid content. But because of its importance in collagen production and nervous system regulation it’s importance exceeds its volume.

Exhaustion is the unconscious loop of unsupportive systems that deplete without properly valuing rest and rejuvenation. Inadequate support collapses and siphons energy away from its aligned action. Support from others and equitable systems furthers our ability to exchange ourselves (our energy) in the material world. Resolve is therefore the experience of effort without force. The shadow of the 40th gene key speaks to natal chi that we were born with versus the natural life force flowing around us. When we are in alignment with our heart’s will we find ourselves doing work that doesn’t deplete our natal life force but is in flow with the natural forces of our reality.

Gate 40: Deliverance, the Gate of Aloneness

In our aloneness, we can find what it is we deliver into the world. In our personal sovereignty, we remember what is we desire to exchange and give of ourselves. In Human Design, the heart is the center of the tribal circuit which indicates the importance of our connection to one another. That our health, vitality and energetic coherence is built and maintained in our tribes. The people we coexist beside. This speaks of the importance of mutual reciprocity. Virgo season is a time of reclaiming personal sovereignty and discernment. It defines the borders between all homeostatic systems that work together to create harmonies. Gate 40 specifically invites us to look at see what it is we deliver. Our Heavenly Bodies as channels and messengers of divine gifts into the material plane. That WE are the epicenters of creation on the planet, along with the other living beings here beside us.

This week as the Sun transited the spirit of 59, I was reminded about the power of bonding. The cyclicality of bonds made and broken. The inherent 3rd line heart break of being viscerally aware that there indeed lie expirations to all things in life and we can’t possibly predict these comings and goings. We must only make a holy stage for arrival and departure. Become altars to receive the offerings of love and spirit and experiences. These offerings nourishing and constructing us more deeply into the fabric of reality. The Heavenly Body of Virgo, an innocent servant to the divine within and without.

In last week’s transmission on 29, we talked about how response from the sacral is a cycle and true cyclical response cannot be predetermined in its length or duration. Apply this same sacral concept and then connect it to the relational world of bonding with others intimately in the 59. At the unconscious level of this experience, fear is simply an energetic reaction to the unknown. It’s normal, really. We are creatures of survival. Propelled biologically to continue our blood lines and also aware of the potential spiritual and emotional turbulence in bonds being made and broken.

When we come together in true unbridled intimacy, we fully disrobe the illusions that protect us from potentially dangerous outsiders. We come together in communion to create something new, that exists outside of the physical bonds forged in intimacy. This is a living legacy. And we have no control over it. It’s terrifying. And wild. It’s where the edges of fear weave into the gold of wonder. It’s where two hearts become one and then another.

Observation Notes

Gene Key 59: The Shadow of Dishonesty, the Gift of Intimacy, the Siddhi of Transparency

Notes: Amino Acid is Valine. Associated with sexual organs. The shadow is an auric experience of fear in relationship to others. It is dishonest in revealing its true nature towards co-creation. In the shadow expression, we see dishonesty and fear as a genetic impulse and attractive force. The sacral is an “auric stabilizer” it’s envelops and attracts life into our awareness. At some level we are aware of our magnetic subtleties and when disconnected from this intelligence, we fear the unknown. That which is already coming towards us, unrelenting. The sacral works in cycles. The 59 is connected by the 6 to the solar plexus which makes this cycle a terrifying human experience of bonding with a potential end to its cycle. Nobody fully unguards their heart, preparing for a future heart break. We can see the attempts to control these cycles relationally in the nuclear family unit by constructing what the “correct” family looks like and creating parameters that resist the natural ebbs and flows of cyclical energies.

Hexagram 59 : Dispersion, Dissolution

Notes: Wind over Water. This hexagram emphasizes the need of unity in purpose with one another. That penetrative actions should be made for the common good. Wind is moving over Water, which is often translated as danger. But Water element speak to yin qualities of ease, rest, dream realm, subversive movements, ancestral knowledge and wisdom, memory. Taking a similar approach Wind is about mobilizing the water. Entering and dispersing the wisdom found within the depths of water.

Gate 59: Dispersion, The Gate of Sexuality

Notes: “Apart of the Tribal Defense circuit which consists of only two channels. Speaks mostly of the 59 driven towards its genetic imperative to reproduce and then the impetus to care for what has been created in the 27/50 channel. Reading this chapter made me think of a state of quantum chaos as described in Brynja Magnusson’s “Yin Mysticism” as a state of little energy and fertility. Chaos is not yet structured. It is creation before it’s been organized into form. The guidance for the sacral being with defined access to sacral energy is “to respond” but why would we respond before structured creation has begun. This seems to indicate of state of waiting for clarity and settlement after dispersement. Perhaps it should read “waiting for clarity to respond”.

Questions to consider:

* How do I hide parts of myself in relationships, and what does that cost me?

* What does true intimacy feel like in my body, beyond words or expectations?

* How does my sense of “me and you” soften when intimacy dissolves separation?

* Can I experience the sacredness of union, not just with another, but with all of life?

In the I’Ching the gua structure of hexagram 29 is Water over Water. The yin of the yin. A seemingly bottomless pit. Water cannot flow until the cup runneth over. Despair is a natural response in the Absymal depths of 29 and perhaps this fear of our vast power keeps us engaging half-heartedly to distract us from the truth. The truth that as a vessel of consciousness we contain multitudes that lie outside of moral dictation and structure. The ways in which we’ve been told to apply our energy in the world that was deemed valuable or….productive.

But Leo season has shown us that we ARE royal. A highness of exact solar impact. This expression of life force within, is ferocious and potentially painful. It threatens to destroy all that does not honor its truth. How then can we kneel before the magnitude of our spirit and honor this fully? Commitment to protect build a reality that honors this knowing. That honors this light. A hearth that can hold and be fed and feed and warm the weary.

This is not about domination, it is about self-mastery in serving what is good and whole. That which brings light. Protecting innocence. Being in service to collective sanctity. This is earthen walls of Virgo’s service holding the fire of Leo in reverence.

29 will bridge us from Leo into the Virgin’s sanctuary. A place of Holy Remembrance. An altar of service and devotion. 29 invites us to recommit to ourselves as Inner Sanctums of wholeness and light. That nothing done in apathy is done. Our feeble attempts to live up to external expectations keeps us estranged from our fire. From ourselves. In order to construct the dream in which we seek, we must commit our body mind and souls to its work. A process to honor, a destination to rejoice. The sanctuary is the process.

We must construct the Heavens we experience, less they disappear before our very eyes. In order to build Heaven, we must remember her in our Mother Night. In putting the body to rest, we enter portals of rebirth and remembrance. This dreamscape of rest in the body, weaves together the reality of spirit. In the dream worlds of rest. Found by yin of yin. Water over water. The womb of life. The sanctuary is built to dream, to rest, to remember.

Notes: Water over Water. The Mother Night. This hexagram amplifies the trust needed in the sacral’s cyclical nature. Once a cycle runs course, darkness follows. Darkness as rest and nourishment. Water over water is yin of the yin. Water cannot flow until the cup has been filled. This is the energy to fulfill a cycle but is not the direction or purpose (46).

Gene Key 29: The Shadow of Half-Heartedness, The Gift of Commitment, The Siddhi of Devotion

Notes: “Amino Acid is Valine. Valine helps keep the body healthy and functioning under stress. Similarly to 4, this is about how energy from external input is put to use. How we begin cycles is the nature of their full becoming. Commitment is the seed of good fortune. Luck as an ideal of attuned sacral response. Half-heartedness is dishonesty in that there is no full response to engage the process. The Gift expression is guided by full response and is not concerned with its outcome, it enjoys the process of unfoldment.

Gate 29: The Abysmal, The Gate of Perseverance

Notes: “The deep within the deep. Persistence despite difficulties has its inevitable rewards.” “A constant affirmation of life.” The gate details the energy of cyclicality that may no longer be there. The translation is more positive but seems to imply the impending end that must be disengaged in order to correctly commit your energy. “Always eager to say yes”. Encourages Strategy and Authority to correctly engage.

Questions to consider:

* In what ways can I deepen my devotion to the path that life is already unfolding for me?

* What happens when I treat each “yes” I give as sacred?

* How does commitment to one step at a time reveal a bigger journey I couldn’t see at first?

* Where in my life do I notice myself saying “yes” without truly meaning it?

This week’s exploration is brought to you by the goblin in my head. The voice of most resistance. The sneering liar that has become so unoriginal that I’m still posting this week’s episode regardless of the chiding internal chatter that calls it stumbling, unintelligible and confusing. I’ll let you be the judge. Bridge 4 is activating the Ajna center this week edging us closer to the exit of our experiment inside Leo season.

Riding the coattails of 7 in the G-Center, bridge 4 is beckoning us into awareness. But what is awareness anyways? What do you consider “knowing”? In the bodygraph, there are 3 centers of knowing/awareness. Which entail that there is body-knowing (spleen), spirit-knowing (solar plexus) and mind-knowing (ajna) and essentially the Ajna helps us organize all of the data inputs from these modes of awareness. The Ajna is here to help us sift through it all and decipher what is important in order for the system to operate. Not FOR decision making, but to INFORM decision making.

And so, bridge 7 from last week highlights the importance of becoming acquainted with the soul’s frequency, your path, what you love (G-Center things) — in order to expand our awareness holistically. Meaning that we can more fully expand our definitions of knowing and awareness and what is considered valuable data when we’re centered in ourselves. This week’s energy is a delightful addition to the growing archetype of Leo. A bold, guiding, inextinguishable light. Fixed and omniscient, a lighthouse of creative fire. And bridge 4 adds a grounded fluency to the radiating light of Leo. An embodied temperament that keeps its royal Highness landed its reigning powers that be (your being).

The ajna as the mental awareness that perceives and translates the information input from the physical body. Home of the design crystal, unconscious encoding. Children as innocent and non-programmed by life are receptive and open to holistic systems of information, unimpeded by conditioned beliefs.”

Notes: “Amino Acid is Valine. Valine helps keep the body healthy and functioning under stress. 4 connects to 63 to a ‘pressure center’ (the head center). The shadow only detects patterns that reinforce perceived safety? Logic is objective. An open system informed by patterns and cycles of creation. Interrogation of holistic — understandings — must also be as internal as they are collective and externalized. Awareness as a whole. Understanding propels awareness outside of the mind (quoted from Richard Rudd) and into perceptual participation.”

In this solo episode, we look at Gene Key/Gate/Hexagram 7 commonly referred to as “The Army” or “Multitude” which makes mention that in ancient times the Army was created by the collective peoples. There was not a separation between citizens and the protective forces of their state, they were their own people. In a more modern translation, we see the paradoxical impact of the individual on the collective. In order to elect just and virtuous leadership, we as the people of the Collective must be able to be self-governed and guided by our own inherent belonging. Without this discernment and connection to the Heart, we risk the shadow of separation in ideals and direction.

The Sun moving through 7 invites us to meet the convergence of ideals and directions. Where newer more diverse systems are identified and explored for collective wellbeing. Without this fortitude to meet our edges we continue dividing and dislocating the magnetic forces of creation unfolding. The collective future is created in this moment in the ways we meet the edges of difference and collective well being.

In this solo episode for the Sun in 33, we explore the Gene Keys, IChing and HD translations of 33 to expand our conceptions of Leo. This quality of the Royal One within exemplifies the intelligence of Leo’s connection to direction, love and purpose (the G-Center). Becoming more of yourself is the initiatory process of remembering who you’ve always been and allowing that to shine forth into the world.

Translated in the IChing as “Retreat” the Royal One is deeply connected to a larger mission they are here to serve. Remembering this mission invites us to retreat into the labryinth’s of ourselves and locate the fire within. The fire that cannot be dimmed nor distinguished. It is fixed. It is ours.

33 highlights the mindfulness necessary to recall this light from within. It is through presence with ourselves that we shine into the world more fully embodied.

Whether or not 33 is in your Cosmic Synthesis (HD chart) this week invites us to meditate and retreat into the Inner Sanctum of ourselves to remember. The shadow of Forgetting keeps us looping in our Karma which serves remind us of the inherent power we hold inside. What loops of fear and scarcity are no longer serving our purpose and joy? In what ways have we become blissfully ignorant to the dramas of our life that keep us imprisoned?

In this solo episode, we talk about the Sun moving through 31 in Leo translated in the IChing as “Mutual Influence”. 31 is the side of this channel that is connected to the Throat center of “Manifestation”, here we look at our ability to share, express and influence one another via frequency. The energy of 31 is moved by 7’s connection to the G-Center so this energy is all about direction, love and purpose.

The G-Center is also connected to our Nodes and thus the moon’s influence. I like to think of the Nodes as the aperture of our life’s experience. Other metaphors use the idea of “train tracks” but this is about a frame of reality. The constituents that appear inside of our movie, physically in the environment and mentally by what we witness with our eyes. We are designed to witness the world in a differentiated way. And thus designed to influence the world in a differentiated way, as well.

The 31 is also connected to the Collective Knowing circuit meaning it’s rooted in the Spleen’s intelligence of patterns and sustainability. In this way, 31 can use its natural ability with patterns to manipulate and control the narrative via the stories and expressions it creates. The difference here lies in the ability to discern intellect of the mind from intelligence of the heart.

When we move towards heart intelligence, we move towards creating worlds of magnificence and light. This energy is not simply about becoming a leader of man, this energy is about becoming a self-guided leader of your soul’s mission.

In this solo episode exploring the Sun in 56, we are met with a sort of moment of disintegration known in the Gene Keys as a “Stop codon”. This is 1 of 3 activations not encoded to an amino acid building block, but instead offers a sort of break down or respite from the continually building seasons of fruition.

These stop codons all occur between Gemini to Leo season which provide moments of further integration from the stories and experiences that came before while furthering processes towards divestment and individuation. The 56 shadow of Distraction translates how we often become inundated and over-stimulated by our 5 senses and thus our environments.

With the 56 pointing towards the Ajna - home of the Design crystal - we are looking at the body, the unconscious codes that manifest our reality. When distracted from our true nature, the unconscious continues propagating loops with the same lessons for us to truly evolve and learn. What distracts us eventually reveals that which enriches our lives through depletion.

In the IChing there is emphasis upon excess causing instability. That we are all Travelers in this life, always moving and evolving and growing. 56 in the IChing makes space for new stories to be told and stimulated into the environment that better support and enrich our lives.

As we head into the season of the King/Queen (Leo) this is the wisdom that gathers new ideas that nurture and sustain us moving into the future. The self-guided leadership of fully individuated identity. Our Solar light shining upon the realm of our reality unabashed, non-performative, fully embodied. The King/Queen does not leave room for anything that is not in service to their mission.
