hey babes -- it’s winter where I live and stuff is hard. I ended up on the kitchen floor sobbing last week… and this love note was born (recorded in my cozy chair, a week later FYI, this episode does not include audio of me snotting into the kitchen towel I managed to grab). It’s been a weird year. Layer that on with whatever personal stuff is coming up for you (and oh damn is it coming). Layer that on with being some form of ‘stuck’ at home with all the people, and none of the people… at the same time. Yeah, sometimes stuff is hard. In this episode you’ll hear me talk about why you’re not a burden, why reaching out for support can be so hard, how I’ve literally never had only one feeling (and I suspect no one else has either), and how really boring self-care is where it’s at. If you’re feeling the ache, or you’re supporting someone who is struggling a lot right now -- this episode is for you. You’re not alone. Love, big sister/Eliza xxx

[Originally aired April 13, 2020] Hi loves, I love Elizabeth Dialto. That’s the only right way to start off telling you about this episode. Elizabeth is the creator of Wild Soul Movement and the host of the Truth Telling Podcast. She’s fiercely, softly herself -- and her laugh is legendary. The whole body thing (like, relating to the body) is her thing. In this episode, we talk dieting, middle school crushes, wanting to be different, being catcalled, our mothers, and what the heck embodiment is (hint: it’s the genius answer to struggling with body image, and it’s the heart of Elizabeth’s work in the world). Also, a jiggly thigh video is mentioned (and jiggly thighs are great). You ready? I’m so stoked to share this one with you. Love, Eliza.

Hey loves! If you’re feeling a bit sensitive, or down, or numb these days... and sometimes you wonder what your ‘purpose’ is here on earth (do we even have one??)… this episode is for you! I’m talking with Indigenous Medicine Woman Asha Frost about what to do when you’re down, how to identify your unique medicine, how to know what job you should do in the world one day (and the pressure to have it all figured out somehow as a preteen or teen person), and so much more!! This conversation filled up my heart on an especially tender today, and I’m so excited to share it with you! Come listen :) xo, Eliza

Hey babes, I’ve been wanting to try one of these for ages!! I opened up Qs to the preteens + teens in our Mentorship Circles and here’s a part one of me answering the epic flood of questions I got in. Click here to submit your own question for me to (maybe) answer in a future episode!! Today I’m talking about lying friends, what to do when you feel like you’re the only one ever who has anxiety, how great being alone actually is, and what inspired me to start Badass Girls. Come listen :) xo, Eliza

[Originally aired 5/18/20] Got anxiety? Not sure what anxiety even feels like? Today I’m diving in with one of my besties from college, who also happens to be a trained mindfulness practitioner, an experiential designer, artist, neuroscience nerd, and human being who has experienced anxiety (like 2 days ago, at last count). If you want to get deep and weird with us (real talk, we’re in quarantine brain) about being in a body, what anxiety feels like, feeling stuck in bed, feeling obsessed with your to do list, and having needs -- this one's for you. Hugs, Eliza.

Hey loves -- I’ve got a unique episode for you today: it’s short and sweet and I recommend you pop those headphones on and hang with me as you start the day :) It’s Election Day in the U.S. -- and it’s a big one. Maybe you’re feeling all the feelings? Let’s be together. In this episode you’ll hear me talking about: how change and uncertainty aren’t unique to this day (and we actually know how to handle them), why taking time to dream today is necessary magic, the principles that changed my life, and a whole boatload of big sister nudges for how to approach the day. I’m right here with you. Come listen xoxoxo, Eliza.

Hey loves! Do you live for psychology quizzes? Getting to know yourself better? And swapping them with friends? Or, do you sometimes find yourself feeling like no matter how hard you try to ‘get it right’ (this life thing) and ‘do it like everyone else’ (whomever is around you) -- it doesn’t feel quite right? Today I’m hanging out with Erin Claire Jones, a Leadership Coach who specializes in Human Design -- a system that’s all about the science of understanding yourself. I’m a Splenic Projector (you’ll hear all about what that means in the episode!!) and when I began to learn about Human Design a few years ago… my first thought was: “OH MY GOSH, I make so much sense to myself, this is so helpful” and then my next thought was “I wish I’d known about this when I was a teen.” So… you’re welcome. Lol. Come listen in as Erin and I talk about what human design is, how to find out your ‘type’ and decision making style -- and answers Qs about productivity, friendships and family. Love, Eliza

Hey love bug! How’s it going with your period? You don’t need to have your period yet for this episode to be for you (in fact, I especially want you to listen in!). Do you have cramps? Or intense, dark mood swings the week before you get your period? Do you want to love it… because like, that’s the ‘feminist’ or ‘enlightened’ thing to do… but really it’s kind of disruptive and you’re dreading and kind of confused by your period a lot of the time? Oh honey, this episode is magic. Vianney Leigh is a menstrual cycle alignment expert and the founder of the Status Flow Collective -- and she’s a badass period boss. In this episode, we talk about why your period isn’t just about being able to get pregnant, how to create an epic life because of your period (not despite it), our fave personal period stories, how to get started making your period not suck, and SO much more! It’s the big sister chat about periods I always wished I could listen in to -- so here it is for you :) Hugs, Eliza

Hey loves! Andréa is a real deal super human. And not the kind that wears a cape (though very here for it if that’s a new fashion choice they start making), but because they are so super human: growing, changing, compassionate, reflective, visionary, and real. We talk about what liberation and being real have in common, when to get all up in the comments section with someone spouting racist, transphobic, misogynistic (etc.) crap -- and when not to, what your next ‘right’ step is for anti-racism work is (hint: it’s not a checklist, honey), and so much more. Being with Andréa is always both an oasis, and an invitation to wake up to the fire that’s in my heart. Come get nourished and listen, babes! If you’re here to be real, this podcast episode was made -- urgently and intimately -- for you. XOXO, Eliza.

Hey my loves! Anyone else scroll mindlessly more and more these days? Talk about how bad social media is for your mental health and then find yourself back on it? Watch yourself go down the comparison hole… and then blame yourself? Today I’m talking to the brilliant, raw, real Taz -- a cyber security specialist, empath, and big picture thinker. She’s the daughter of a freedom fighter, and it shows. You’ll hear us talking about: some of the biggest everyday ways you’re not actually private on your phone, why the algorithm is invested in your feeling insecure, how to be real online, and so much more, babes. Taz is a real one. Come listen! XX, Eliza
