  • [ReBroadcast] Gender Feelings with Chahney Young Hinds

[Originally aired June 22, 2020] Hey loves! After a pause to listen and redirect focus in our community to BLM activism, I’m back with a new episode (and no, our anti-racist activism is not going anywhere, I promise) with the magical, multi-dimensional being that is Chahney Young Hinds. In this episode you’ll hear: the difference between gender and sex, ways to talk to folks about your pronouns, the way that Chahney asked me to share my gender that made me cry (in the best way), why I use she/her and they/them pronouns and don’t talk about it that much, and more! Chahney and I also talked a ton about our fave gender-expansive and gender-affirming movies, books, and resources, so get all the good links in the show notes on the episode page below! This was one convo I know my heart needed and it’s epic. Come listen. Love, Eliza.

  • [ReBroadcast] Big Sister Love Note for Loneliness

[Originally aired April 20, 2020] feeling lonely? Me too (sometimes), and I recorded a love note for you straight from the heart (and my bedroom closet). I’m talking everything from healthy solitude, to the heavy feeling on your chest, to judging yourself for being ‘totally lame’ (and how to get out of it). I’ll also got into ways to find more REAL connection with awesome humans (who are also doing this whole self-love thing). Love, Eliza.

  • [ReBroadcast] 3 ways to begin to love your body

[Originally aired on April 6, 2020] Hey loves! I’m back with another solo episode AKA personal love note, and this time I’m diving into body stuff. Have you ever noticed that it’s painfully normal for people (especially girls and women) to hate on their bodies? Isn’t it like the worst? Today, I’m breaking down what ‘body image’ actually is, and 3 ways to get started in the whole body love/acceptance thing (cause it gets to be a process). There’s some personal notes in this one (because when is body talk not personal?). If you’re struggling with this body thing, let’s do it together. You got this. Love, Eliza

  • [ReBroadcast] Drinking, Feelings + Being Enough with Holly Whitaker

[Originally aired on March 30, 2020] Hey love, episode two is up -- and I decided to dive in with a bang (we’re about being real over here, y’all) -- and talk alcohol, awkwardness, being queer, and not feeling like you’re enough with one of my sheroes, Holly Whitaker. Holly is the author of the new book ‘Quit Like a Woman’ (recommended for adults and older teens), the founder of Tempest, and one of my personal definitions of badass. If you’re ready for a new kind of conversation about drinking (that gets nerdy about feminism, marketing, corporations, and how to love ourselves better), this is it. This episode is recommended for older teens, and for younger teens with a parent listening along to talk about together. Holly and I loved being our awkward selves together (come be awkward with us, and listen). Love, Eliza.

  • but like what is a crush with Lili Platt

How do you know you have a crush? What does good teen dating look like anyways? How do we get over the whole people pleasing thing? Oh, my loves -- today I go IN on it all with the brilliant Lili Platt. June is Badass Girls Mentor month on the podcast (AKA I’m interviewing all our big-hearted, wise, real mentors who lead our circles of preteen + teen girls). She’s also a Badass Girls mentor with a new teen circle starting in fall 2020. Today, we talk about our first crushes, the weird thing we thought was true about dating, that time I (literally) ran away from holding hands with my crush at camp, and so much more. Come listen.
