  • why my school’s health class was a total fail (+ what I wish I’d learned)

Hey love! Awkward topics are my favorite topics. And what’s more awkward than a school health class? Y’all we’ve all (or most of us) have been there. Whether it was middle school puberty or high school sex ed, or some weird kind of ‘health thing’ in the gym with your gym teacher and a video projector. Today I’m talking: 3 things that were a total fail, 3 things I wish I’d actually learned, and the surprising thing that ALL health classes teach girls (yes, even your maybe really cool health class). This is also episode 3 of our 4-part Podcast Club going down in July! Wanna hang out with me? And get your own journal? And win prizes? You can get all the details at badassgirls.me/july :) Come listen! Love, Eliza.

  • how to get your parents to stop annoying you (it’s not what you think)

Hey loves -- pretty basic teen question: anyone feeling annoyed as hell by your parents this week? Lolz. Let’s be real: it’s been a lot in quarantine (for all of us). But then -- and here’s the part that isn’t talked about so much -- do you then feel kinda guilty for like taking out all your frustrations on the person/people that (ideally) are trying to like love and support you unconditionally? AHHHHHH. Today I’m talking about how to get your parents off your back, how to not want to pull out all your hair in frustration, and mostly -- how to have a relationship with your parentals that makes your life easy and your heart happy. This is also episode two of our 4-part podcast club adventure going down in July. You in? Wanna come hang out with me for free this month?? It’s the best. Head over to badassgirls.me/july to get all the details. XO, Eliza.

  • Toxic Friends vs. Non-toxic Friends

Hey loves -- welcome to the July Podcast Club! This month we’re offering something free and magical for our community of Badass Girls (head over to badassgirls.me/july to get all the details and join -- there’s prizes, community with other badass girls, a journal, and live Q&A with me… need I say more?? ;)). Today I’ve got a solo episode for you and I’m talking about the most epic love stories of my life: my friendships. We’re often told the most important love is romantic love. I say a big NOPE. You’ll hear me talk about: how to tell if you’ve got some toxic friendship patterns in your life, the sneaky way we try to love ourselves by being ‘better’ than other people, and basically a big sister love note on how magical you actually are (and how you deserve belonging). I love you! Come listen :) xoxox, Eliza

  • Selfies for Self Love with Amelia Hruby

Hey loves! Summer is here (where I am at least) and I know one thing that’s up: bathing suits, body image, and clothes that show more skin. Anyone else notice more feelings around body stuff coming up around this transition to summer? SO, it felt like perfect timing to have one of my dream guests onto the pod to talk bodies and self-love: our amazing podcast producer, Amelia Hruby! But producing epic podcasts is just one small area of Amelia’s creative life: Amelia is a feminist author, educator and the host of the podcast Fifty Feminist States. Her first book, Fifty Feminist Mantras, will be published in October. Today we’re talking about self love, being fat, and selfies as a way to love ourselves (yup -- bet you’ve only heard selfies talked about as a sign of vanity!). Come listen :) xx, Eliza

  • Gender Feelings with Chahney Young Hinds

Hey loves! After a pause to listen and redirect focus in our community to BLM activism, I’m back with a new episode (and no, our anti-racist activism is not going anywhere, I promise) with the magical, multi-dimensional being that is Chahney Young Hinds. In this episode you’ll hear: the difference between gender and sex, ways to talk to folks about your pronouns, the way that Chahney asked me to share my gender that made me cry (in the best way), why I use she/her and they/them pronouns and don’t talk about it that much, and more! Chahney and I also talked a ton about our fave gender-expansive and gender-affirming movies, books, and resources, so get all the good links in the show notes on the episode page below! This was one convo I know my heart needed and it’s epic. Come listen. Love, Eliza.
