  • The King, Not The Thing
The King, Not the Thing Our Commitments, Our Families, and Our Representation of Jesus Numbers 30–31 | Romans 12:1–2 | Ephesians 4–6 This message emphasizes that the circumstances we encounter are not meant to govern who we become; rather, the Lord uses those circumstances to transform us as we entrust ourselves to Him. It's not the thing that's changing us, but the King who is renewing us through the thing. Drawing from Numbers 30, the teaching examines the seriousness of our vows, commitments, and responsibilities before God. The Lord warns against rash promises and calls His people to live with integrity, wisdom, and faithful dependence upon Him. The instructions concerning fathers, daughters, husbands, and wives reveal the importance of accountability within the family and point us toward the greater picture of Jesus and His church. As our Head, Christ sacrificially loves, nourishes, cherishes, and continually intercedes for His redeemed people. Therefore, our marriages, homes, and relationships ought to faithfully reflect His character rather than the selfish patterns of this world. The message also revisits Balaam, whose counsel led Israel into compromise when he could not successfully curse those whom God had blessed. His example warns believers that the enemy often seeks to accomplish through compromise what he cannot accomplish through direct opposition. This is why we must remain attentive to God's Word and refuse to allow the world's thinking to govern our decisions, relationships, and responsibilities. Romans 12 provides the foundation for this transformed life. While the world is shaped by its experiences, pressures, and patterns without acknowledging G

  • 323. Why Unbelievers Can't Fully "Do" Marriage
In part two of this series on Christ and culture, Dr. Marcus Mininger dives into Paul's stunning move in Ephesians 5 — quoting Genesis 2's account of marriage, then declaring, "I am speaking of Christ and the church." Mininger unpacks what it means for marriage to be Christocentric by design, not just illustrated by Christ but built from the ground up to point toward him, and why that means believers and unbelievers can never fully participate in it on equal footing. Then the conversation widens: if marriage points to Christ, what about bread, banquets, homes, and cities? Could the way you bake, decorate, or build actually preach a sermon?

  • Can A Woman Leave Her Father’s House Before Marriage?
Apology Concerning "So Much More" linked here - https://generations.org/articles/75492 The Botkin sisters recently apologized for their book, So Much More, which argues that it's sinful for a woman to leave her father's house before she is married. But were they right to issue this apology? What does the Bible say? Kevin Swanson and Josh Schwisow sift the scriptural indicatives and imperatives to figure out the answer… - What Numbers 30 really says about the extent of a father's authority over his unmarried daughter - How to balance binding the consciences of single women vs. encouraging them to become single career-minded boss-babes freezing their eggs by the age of 30 - Why it can actually be better for a daughter to leave the home, rather than staying – and at what age this starts to apply - How a woman should be preparing for marriage when single…and how she might need to leave the home to do this - How equating singleness with isolation/independence is a Marxist and statist view – and what the biblical alternative is Got a topic you want us to cover? • Israel Attacked by Hamas: 3 Years Later
Following the dictates of the Quran such as 5:51 – "O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and Nasara (Christians) as friends." There's 9:73: "O you prophet, perform jihad against the infidels and the hypocrites, and be harsh with them. And their abode will be hell, and evil is the final place." There's 47:4: "So when you meet those who became infidels, so strike the necks until you have made a great slaughter among them." Lastly, there's 25:52: "So do not obey the infidels, and perform jihad against them with a big jihad." That's exactly what took place, three years ago today, when the Islamic terrorist group Hamas launched the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. On that day nearly 1,200 Israelis were killed and 251 people taken hostage. As Jihad Watch pointed out, "Terrorists burned people and pets alive, children among them, looted homes, set houses and neighborhoods on fire, took civilians and bodies and filmed it. One terrorist called his parents from a victim's phone and said he had butchered ten Jews, including the woman whose phone he had taken and her husband." The article continued, "...they shot civilians on the roads, in shelters and at intersections then drove on to the communities. They shot the old, fathers and mothers with children, and teenagers. They also killed whoever was in the way, including foreign workers." The attacks against Israel continue…
