  • The Church Recovered in the Home
This sermon argues that the primary responsibility of the local church is to equip Christian parents for the task of discipling their children, rather than replacing the family's role in spiritual formation. Drawing from Psalm 78, the message outlines four priorities for church ministry: cultivating a reverent reception of God's Word, intentionally communicating God's truth, recognizing God's design for multi-generational faith, and pursuing God's purpose for a faithful next generation. The speaker emphasizes that statistics show a strong correlation between home-based discipleship and young people remaining in the faith, urging pastors to shift their mindset from ministering directly to children to empowering parents. The tone is instructional and challenging, calling for a reevaluation of church programs, calendars, and resources to ensure they support family discipleship. Ultimately, the goal is to see a 'golden chain' of faith passed from generation to generation, where children set their hope in God and keep His commandments.

  • The Life & Legacy of William Tyndale
Dr. David Brown is Pastor Emeritus of the First Baptist Church in Oak Creek. He has a Master's in Theology and a PhD in History specializing in the history of the English Bible. It is very easy in our society to take what we have for granted. We can go into a dark home and flip a switch and we have light. We need a cool drink of water and turn on the faucet and satisfy our thirst. We go to our technology devices and we can instantaneously communicate with people all around the world. As nice as these conveniences are, there is something far more precious than all of them: the Bible, the Word of God. While it's easy for us to take for granted the rich availability of the Scriptures in print, on our tablets, and on phone devices, what we must not ignore is the fact that having the Scriptures in the English language cost someone their own life. That person was William Tyndale. He's been renowned as "the father of the English Bible" and is recognized as one of the major leaders of the English Reformation. He became one of the most wanted men in England and all of Europe, even pursued by the king himself. It's the 500th anniversary of the Tyndale New Testament and tomorrow is the 490th anniversary of Tyndale's death. So don't miss this historical overview of the life and legacy of William Tyndale so that you can grasp the amount of sacrifice that went into the formation of our English Bible.

  • Surrender To Succeed
Beloved in Jesus Christ: Jacob had escaped from Esau 20 years before, he spent that time in Mesopotamia with Laban, he got rich, and he had a family. and now he was returning home to Canaan because God told him to. God wanted him in Canaan to occupy the land, and preserve that line of promise, that line from which Christ would come. But Jacob had some issues to work out…and God had some issues to work out in Jacob. Jacob tried to take short-cut to occupying the land by relying on his wicked, reprobated brother, for help! So God needed to free Jacob from his independent streak so that he would be most productive in Canaan and make him more dependent. This is what you will see today. Our headings are: 1. Jacob Wrestles 2. Jacob Clings 3. Jacob Testifies Our goals are: That you will learn to free yourself from human plans and cling to Christ's plans to be successful in your Christian life.

  • Unless the Lord Builds the House
This sermon explores Psalm 127 to demonstrate that human effort in building, watching, and working is ultimately vain unless God is the primary agent. The text contrasts the fleeting nature of earthly achievements and self-made kingdoms with the enduring reality of God's house, which is built by Christ. It highlights the biblical view of children not as burdens but as a divine heritage and spiritual blessing, connecting this to the promise in 2 Samuel 7 that God will establish a house for David that will last forever. The preacher emphasizes that while believers are called to labor in the vineyard, their work is not in vain because it is grounded in the resurrection and the unshakable kingdom of Christ. The tone is pastoral and encouraging, urging the congregation to rest in God's sovereignty and to view their service and family life through the lens of eternal hope.

  • Zion's Daughters Shamed by Outsiders
Zion's Daughters Shamed by Outsiders What happens when women raised in churches and Christian homes question the old paths, while women without that upbringing begin recognizing the destructive fruits of feminism and seeking a return to marriage, motherhood, and submission to husbands? Ezekiel describes a startling reversal: the daughters of the Philistines were ashamed of Jerusalem's lewd ways! Those blessed with greater light had become a reproach to the God they professed to serve. Through Isaiah, Ezekiel, Titus 2, and Christ's warning to Laodicea, this message examines haughtiness, Christianized feminism, and a form of godliness that stops short of surrender. Are we truly returning to God - or merely fleeing sin's consequences while preserving our rebellious independence? God calls His people to more than outward worship, religious names, or partial reform. He calls us to humble ourselves, examine our foundations by Scripture, and embrace full repentance.
