Because the reality is that the relationship SUCKS. 
Realtors, real estate agents, agents, brokers blah blah blah what ever we call ourselves has trained the public and FSBOs in particular to not trust and dislike us.

Like a car salesman that no one likes we have now become that. To that level. 

WHY?
How can we fix it?
How can we work together?
And can FSBOs really work and put us out of a job?

There are a few things that you can do to prep your home and family to sell. 
Before you even meet with a Realtor or start interviewing Realtors, these are the few steps:
Declutter and get rid of things...yeah I am talking to you! 
Smells. YUCK or YUCK...Ill explain. 
Valuables or weapons they just shouldn't be out. 
Making a family "bug out plan".
