Home Video Hustle

No Xenomorphs this time, just Predators and jungles! This is only my second time watching this film and a first time watch for Chris and Anita. If this was released today, would this be considered a "Soft Reboot?" It certainly feels like one and for some reason, it really made Chris want to go on a holiday of the Jet Blue variety. I also posed a question to them that I'll ask you as well, which location would you rather be stuck in, the Predator planet or Skull Island?

Stork comes through with another Patreon pick and one of us is really going to be mad at him for this. I remember seeing this in the video store back in the day and always wondered what was up with this title. It sounds promising from the back of the box though, maybe we just need to give it a chance.

Now, this is the battle I wanted to see back in the day. Not underground with a small group of people, not a bunch of backstories, just put aliens and a predator in a small town and let them put in work! Loved this back when I was 16 in the theater, but I must know if it hits the same in my 30s. My sick humor is pretty much the same, so i'm sure i'll still enjoy it!

Well, that wasn't exactly what I was expecting! I also wasn't expecting a call from PJ early on in the show. He joins Chris and I in tackling this next Patreon film selection from DJ Sylvis. A first time watch for us all and PJ gets to experience it like you guys, not having seen a second of it. Anita took a week off but still got a few words in when Chris and PJ came at one of her favorite comedians.

Thank you for listening!

We're taking a Bond break and getting back to multiple series' at once. Alien: Earth is out and a new Predator movie is coming, so let's get that algorithm going! We all really liked this film back in the day but it's been a very long time since we've watched it. Reviews don't look great online lets give it a chance.

Some of us were definitely podcasting under the influence this week and that fits with the movie we watched, thanks to our supporter, Colby Burnett. None of us have ever watched Revenge of the Nerds but all of us knew there was controversy surrounding it. Can it really be as bad as i've heard? Chris also has his review of the new Superman film, Anita has a lot of thoughts about three particular scenes, and I have some words for a recently deceased wrestler. We hope you enjoy the show!

We are in the Roger Moore era of Bond films now and since this is Cameron's favorite film in the whole 007 series, I had to get him back on the mic! You know i'm excited because they mashed together two things I love, James Bond films and the 70's era of Black films. Like getting some chocolate in your peanut butter. Does it hold up in 2025 though? Time to find out.

Just when I think i'm away from Disney, Anita done pulled me back in! Yes, this is yet another Disney flick that I've never seen but I was slightly hopeful because I've always heard that this is "Baby's first Indiana Jones." From what I can tell, this is looking more like the PBS version but i'm a fan of PBS, so I can give it a shot. Anita was so hype about it and it got a sequel, book series and TV series so it must be good! Right?

I've been excited to get to this Bond film, mainly because everyone seems to really hate it. Diamonds are Forever was never a favorite of mine growing up but I never thought it was the worst! Well, now I get to see if as an adult, I feel the same way. Anita also has a real good laugh at villains crashing ATV's.

Chris got one over on me! Well, to be fair, I guess my terrible memory got one over on me. It's aiight though because this gives us an opportunity to show Anita her first DC animated film. Chris has been dying to talk about this on the show and he came with the knowledge. So glad we got this in time for the new Superman movie!

...Wait...

Dammit!
