Today’s first caller had a representative from NuLux come do a consult at her condo, so she wanted designer Dean's expert opinion on the grout-free tile materials the company uses in bathrooms.

Our next caller is having a plumbing issue; she had a cartridge replaced in her shower and now is getting only warm water there, likely due to a crossover according to several plumbers she’s spoken to. What’s up with that?

Next up, a caller was wondering about installing a graywater system so she could water her garden using the water from her washing machine and dishwasher.

In the next hour, our first caller has questions regarding the input on the floor in an upstairs room and whether it's structurally sound to handle a 2000-pound safe.

If you can't do fragrance for whatever reason, Dean knows just the timber finish to use in your home so you won’t upset your schnoz.

It's Valentine's Day weekend, a time where you honor those you love. But what about your home? Dean wants to show you how to 'Romance your home.' This is not about sexy time, this is about an idealized view of reality, picturesque...it's the emotional quality of your home, Dean details how to maximize that.  Dean also takes questions from callers about how to add a crawl space access to a home through a foundation vs through a master closet, proper maintenance on a large, difficult to open, 8 ft sliding glass door, how to fix rotting beams on a mid-century modern home and more

Cement flooring got you in a puddle? How do you fill in those pools created on the uneven flooring and level it all out? Does true, ultimate flatness even exist, or do you need a slight slant?

When it comes to your whole-house water system, is there one that also includes a water softener?

Our next caller has an issue with the appearance of her repaved driveway. One half looks good, but the other half looks blotchy, like it’s still drying. The contractor doesn’t think it’s a problem, but the caller isn’t so sure.

Today’s final caller needs to replace the flooring in her basement. They’re stick-on laminate tiles that date to the early 1970s. Can new tiles be placed over the old ones or does the original flooring need to be ripped out entirely?
