  • 179: Springtime Special: Arthur Parkinson | Part 2

As it’s the #ChelseaFlowerShow this week, we have a very special guest who’s more qualified than anyone to talk about gardening, it’s the wonderful Arthur Parkinson. He’s the author of The Flower Yard, he’s brilliant on Instagram (even though he wishes we weren’t so dependent on it) AND he’s even doing some modelling, which to us, is no surprise. Arthur gave me some great flower recommendations for Valentine’s day, how chickens help combat his depression and why he identifies with Anne Robinson and Joanne Lumley. It’s a good one, plant a seed by pressing play and letting it grow in your ears - Chris x

  • 178: Fat Tony | Part 2

Let’s knotch the volume up on this episode, but please, no requests because this legendary DJ and pop culture marvel, Fat Tony aka Tony Marnoch, isn’t afraid to tell you where to go… just ask Madonna. He’s hilarious and larger than life, but talked to me candidly about his upcoming book ‘I Don't Take Requests: The wild, heart-breaking and life-affirming memoir of a cultural phenomenon’. Tony spoke about facing and overcoming addiction, being the bitch between George Michael and Boy George and meeting Freddie Mercury outside Heaven at the age of 15… really, this episode is *that* juicy. As I said, turn the volume up and enjoy! - Chris x

  • 177: Raven Smith | Part 2
Raven Smith is the Vogue columnist, author and internet funny man who keeps us all chuckling away on Instagram. He’s here to tell us about his new book ‘Raven Smith’s Men’. It is hysterically funny, honest and at times bittersweet in its portrayal of the queer experience. We talk about how Black Lives Matter changed his whole perspective on work and life, what he said that got armies of Harry Styles fans coming for him in his DM’s, and how he finally got free of internalised homophobia. Hit play for a great chat - Chris x

  • Heartstopper Special with Alice Oseman
‘Heartstopper’ is the new Netflix show that’s got you ALL talking, so we just had to chat to the creator Alice Oseman about how she brought her graphic novel to the screen with a brilliant cast of actors and fellow creators. We talk about how identifying as Aromantic & Asexual gives Alice a unique perspective on young love, whether she likes the label that the show has acquired of “the anti-Euphoria”, and why representation on screen matters more now than ever - Chris x

  • 176: Douglas Stuart | Part 2

This week we’re honoured to welcome Booker Prize winning author Douglas Stuart. We chat about ‘Young Mungo’ his hotly anticipated sequel to one of my favourite books, ‘Shuggie Bain’. We talk about what it was like to be young, working class, Glaswegian and queer in Thatcher’s Britain, his first kiss (a dramatic love triangle no less) and why Glasgow is a feminine city. Click play for a warm and insightful chat - Chris x
