New York, New York, what a helluva town! From the buildings that seem to touch the skies to the majestic Statue of Liberty, New York is known for so much. One of our favorites - the murders! This week we take a deep dive into the 2nd part of our New York Murders with some chilling stories based right in the heart of the Big Apple.
CONTENT WARNING: dismemberment, torture, rape
Brandon starts off the episode with a twisted tale of a killer who was accidentally caught by the police. That's right, accidentally caught! Who knew that a missing license plate on a crusty old truck would be the start of a 20-minute high-speed chase around Long Island? What the police weren't expecting when they apprehended the driver was the decomposing body in the bed of the truck. Sure, the police were gooped and gaged... like literally, we would have gaged over the smell emitting from the back end too.
From here, we learn about the slaying of at least 17 sex workers by weirdo, Joel Rifkin. The moral of this story here kids... Don't be a bully. And if you are being bullied... maybe don't be a murderer!
Kevin then tells the tale of a gay, narcissistic, alcoholic sociopath who felt like his one-night stand should have been a lifelong love affair. Like sir, you just met... When the well-known reporter in the gay community didn't reciprocate the odd "soul connection" with this dirtbag, all hell broke lose. Described as a gay murderer with a taste for more than a dingalong... or em' dingaling... this story will have you shook for days!
Filled with BDSM, gay life in the 70's, a potential gay serial killer, and the general lack of police protection, the story of Paul Bateson will leave you speechless. Oh, and did we mention there is a weird tie-in with the 1973 hit movie, The Exorcist? Talk about your head spinning. Hopefully, this episode won't have you projectile vomiting!

You actually only have to murder three people to be considered a serial killer. But today's killers? They're overachievers in the worst way possible. We're talking double-digit murders...😨
Kevin kicks us off by taking us to New Mexico... you know, The Land of Enchantment... or so they say. We've got a naked woman running through rural New Mexico, rushing into the open door of a trailer to save herself from "them." When we tell you this story is straight out of a nightmare... it will actually send a shiver down your spine.
David Parker Ray might be the ugliest dude you've ever seen, but he also has a side kick with quite the name... (wait for it)... Cindy Hendy. Like, come on! I guess being the biggest losers New Mexico has ever seen pushed them to their breaking point because these killers created "Satan's Den."
CONTENT WARNING: sexual mutilation, torture, rape
Then, Brandon is telling us a tale of saliva + sorcery. And all we can say is... YUCK. Ahmad Suradji was a self-proclaimed Dukun (AKA Shaman) in Indonesia. For some reason, he thought he should take his dreams literally. What did his dreams entail? Oh, you know, just normal stuff... like, drinking the saliva of precisely 70 women. SCUSE ME? 🤮
Apparently, he thought to himself, "I couldn't possibly ask women to spit in a cup for my personal consumption... so, you know, I'll just murder them!" When a 24-year-old woman named Sri Kemala Dewi was discovered partially buried in a field, the true depth of Ahmad's crimes were revealed. Let's just say, this one ends in a firing squad.

California girls ARE undeniable, fine, fresh, fierce, and they’ve got in on lock! But it seems like California men are a little bit (ahem... lottle bit) f$cked up.
If you’ve been following us for a while, you’ve probably seen or heard Mardy in our recordings. She was the sweetest girl who loved to warm up our legs as we recorded. We had to put our true crime gabs on hold for a bit to give her all the attention she deserved for her last few weeks. So, this week’s episode is dedicated to our dear pup Mardy. Give your pets an extra squeeze today for us!
Anyway, Mardy may not have been a California girl (she was a New Yorker through and through) but today’s victims were... well, kinda. Brandon is kicking us off with a story that involves multiple ransom notes. No, ransom is not just for pirates. And yes, this story is brutal so viewer discretion is advised!
Marion Parker was kidnapped by Mr. Cooper after the school secretary allowed her to go home with a stranger. That’s unthinkable by today’s standards… because of stories like Marion’s. After sending multiple letters demanding the father pay up without involving law enforcement, Marion’s father was left with his daughter’s body... in pieces.
Next, Kevin tells a story that hits close to home. Ashley Hall (Atherley) was a mother of two, great friend to many, including Kevin’s sister-in-law Britaney, and she dreamt of teaching history. Unfortunately, domestic abuse ultimately stripped her of her spirit.
Ashley’s story shows the typical progression of domestic abuse. Starting by cutting her off from her family and friends and escalating to tragic heights. If you or someone you know is suffering under the hands of an abuser, Ashley’s family has actually created a resource to help victims escape violence.

We're diggin' in real deep this episode with special guest, and TikTok's favorite online bestie, Luke Franchina!
After some much needed fabulous gay banter, Kevin, Brandon and Luke dive deep into the stories of two women who took control of their destiny, after experiencing years of torture, manipulation, control, and abuse. Did they do the right thing? That is quite the question!
Kevin’s starts us off with the story of Lavetta Langdon, a woman in her 80's who is currently sitting in a Nebraska state prison a convicted murderer. This one will break your heart for Lavetta, who truly does deserve to be back with her family. Her daughters are fabulous and we just want to give them all a huge hug!
Brandon follows up with the story of Sarah Gonzales-McLinn, an 18-year old who spent much of her youth being manipulated and controlled by the very man who said he would protect her. A story written in blood - like literally written in blood, this one had us a bit stunned.
A quick trigger warning, this episode contains stories of domestic violence, rape, and abuse.

One thing we know about murder is that people will work with what they’ve got! It’s not all guns and knives, sometimes seemingly harmless everyday objects can be turned into a murder weapon. But unconventional weapons does add a layer of mystery and confusion to a case. And in some cases, inevitable puns and jokester headlines. But it’s not all shits and giggles…
After today, you’ll never look at that piece of stale bread in your kitchen with the same eyes 👀. And your toilet seat? Watch that sneaky little biatch.
Brandon is kicking us off with a story titled “Porcelain Rage.” Which immediately brings a porcelain doll to mind (cue those creepy ass stories of baby dolls killing people in their sleep), but it’s actually the porcelain you find in the bathroom. Christina Eubanks, a 28 year old woman from Tennessee, was suddenly targeted by her pizza guy/drug dealer. You might initially laugh at the fact that it was a toilet seat murder, but this is a gruesome story. Ultimately, it’s not funny at all and viewer discretion is advised.
Kevin’s story on the other hand is the subject of laughs purely because we know so little about it that it’s borderline ridiculous. Reginald Hemsley-Doddingdale, a man with the most British name you’ve ever heard, was killed by a stale load of Pumperknickle bread. The translation of Pumperknickle? The Devil’s Fart. This man was killed…by the devil’s fart.

According to Human Rights Watch, black trans women are at heightened risk of violence at the hands of strangers, partners, family members, and law enforcement. From 2016 to 2021, at least 88% of the transgender people killed in Florida, 91% in Ohio, and 90% in Texas, were all people of color.
Today's episode is a bit more serious and is one we truly hope you take the time to listen to. Kevin, Brandon, and Producer Anna, all sit down to spotlight two black trans lives that were tragically taken in the 90's. Unfortunately, both of these cases remain unsolved, which is largely due to the fact that trans lives, specifically black trans lives, have not been prioritized within our justice system.
Kevin starts us off with the story of Marsha P. Johnson. Marsha was a woman who you've probably seen on a mural or two sporting a beautiful flower crown. Among her community throughout Greenwich Village she was known as the "Mayor of Christopher Street," which is contributed to her welcoming nature. She was vocal and active in her pursuit of acceptance for all transgender people. The circumstances surrounding her death are still a mystery. We'll get into exactly what we know and what investigators failed to find.
Then, Brandon introduces us to Rita Hester, one of the women who inspired Transgender Day of Remembrance. Rita was outgoing and spontaneous. A friend even remembered her as the only link between the city’s queer bars and the decidedly hetero nightlife uptown. She was bolder than all of us. I mean, she had a pet boa constrictor for Christ's sake! Unfortunately, that did not save her from the extreme hate someone harbored against her in what looks to be a hate crime.
CONTENT WARNING: Violence, hate crimes, murder
We hope this episode gives you a more vibrant picture of who these two ladies were. As much as we may think society has come a long way since these incidents, many politicians within today's GOP continuously villainize LGBTQ+ people attempting to take us back to a time when inequalities ran rampant, without recourse.
Thanks for listening!

Today's Homotown Murder was submitted by Maddie, a listener from Colorado, who also happens to be one of our BEST FRIENDS! We love her. A lot. You will too!
This is the story of Anthony Milan Ross, a shit*y vegan who murdered his wife and two kids in cold blood. And, although these murders happened in Phoenix, Arizona, this story hit way too close to home for Maddie.
Do you have a homotown murder? Send it to us at [email protected]! Minisodes launch every Thursday!
Children shouldn’t kill people. It just feels like it breaks the laws of the Universe, right!? Not that adults should kill people either…but you know what I mean!
Today’s episode is focused on children who kill and it’s spine chilling to say the least. Because let’s be real, a child with a knife is giving Chucky. We've got one kid who has a weird thing for Kool-Aid and another with a milky eye. It's time so appetizing, so i'd put down your lunch for this one!
Brandon kicks us off with the story of Eric Smith, a thirteen year old boy that tortured and killed a four year old. Derrick Robie said "it's OK mom, i'll go by myself," to Doreen Robie on his way to the park on the day he was killed. Well, it definitely was not okay because a creepy thirteen year old was out for blood.
Then, Kevin is taking us back in time to meet Jesse Pomeroy, the youngest person in the history of Massachussetts to be convicted of first degree murder. His parents tried to excuse the way he tortured animals as a silly little expression of sadness. His victims, Katie Curran and Horace Millen would beg to differ.

Whatever God means to you, there is no doubt that using God to defend your murder is absolutely NOT cute. Also, no, God did not tell you to murder... ya WEIRDO! The number of wacko prophets is scary, the number of people who believe the wacko's is INCREDIBLY TERRIFYING. So, friends... this episode is all about murders done either in the name of God or by those who speak on behalf of God. Oh girl, that's a twist!
Not only do Brandon, Kevin, and Anna dive into their own trauma caused by organized religion, they also share some juicy, funny tidbits about their lives. We have all experienced some weirdness.... might as well share it!
In today's episode, Kevin talks all about 'Woo Woo.' That's right, we're taking a dive into a dude who named himself 'Woo Woo.' Except his name is actually Stanley Mossbery - and, he's a total a**hole!
Brandon dives into the murder of Sister Abhaya. Let's just say, she was found in a well after witnessing some SPICY A*S sister on priest sexual relations. Oh mamasita! This one is a mess. Also, sometimes the worst people claim to speak to God. Keep that in mind folks...

Mommy murderers should send a shiver down your spine. I mean, they brought life into the world and now they're taking it upon themselves to take it away!? Absolutely sick and twisted.
Well today's episode is dedicated specifically to mothers who kill. So if your mother has killed you....trigger warning. But seriously, TW: infanticide!
Brandon is kicking us off with "Little Boxes," AKA, the story of Diane O'dell. We've got mummified babies wrapped up in storage boxes, y'all.
The question is...what actually happened? Diane tries to paint a picture of still births that the authorities just aren't buying and neither are we!
Next, Kevin introduces us to "The Black Widow," Judy Buenoano. Honestly, way too cool of a name for someone who is honestly giving loser energy with her made up last name (normalize bullying serial killers).
It's a tale involving insurance money and a man strapped to a lawn chair on a boat...IDK, you'll just have to tune in to understand that little riddle, you're welcome.
And as always, leave us a 5-star review!! Now is the moment so you can be a part of our "What's the tea!?" giveaway. We're starting our own cult with this pod but we promise not to murder you soooo, you're welcome.
