Whew! Our very first homotown (hometown) murder is submitted by Breanne, a listener from Colorado, who also happens to be Kevin's adopted sister!

This is the story of Ashley Doolittle, who was murdered by her ex-boyfriend, Tanner Flores, in the little hick town of Berthoud, Colorado.

Today, we're talking about the true crime cult classics... Murders, that is. These killings have an extra sprinkling of absolutely insane mind control. We've all heard not to drink the Kool-aid, but what about willingly following an openly violent weirdo? Seems harmless!

Kevin is kicking us off with the Kirtland cult killings. Imagine being told you're going on a lovely little wilderness trip and being shot and unceremoniously buried on top of the rest of your family? Rude. This is the story of Jeffrey Lundgren and the small paramilitary religious cult that killed the Avery family on the night of April 17, 1989.

The reasoning? Well, Dennis Avery was speaking out a bit too much, and the kids were "unruly." So naturally, the whole cult decided it was perfectly acceptable to sacrifice them!

Then Brandon tells us the tale of how one man's "internal Jesus" led to a truly horrifying scene years after his death. Basically, Jakob Lorber thought himself a prophet, wrote all of those internal Jesus thoughts down, and a cult formed after his death.

Then, a little creep named Harald Alexander had a baby named Frank and decided that the baby was a prophet. And guess what!? His whole family went along with it. Like, so much so that when Frank declared "the killing hour," his mother and sisters were like, "Okay, slay me, brother, that's totally fine!" WTF!

Moral of the story? Don't believe anyone that tells you they're a prophet.

Then, Kevin is taking the wheel to introduce us to "The Angel of Death," a lovely guy really. Dr. Harold Shipman, A.K.A: buttlicker, was a serial killer who found his victims through his patients.

When his own mother was diagnosed with lung cancer and died when he was just seventeen, Harold became a bit obsessed. It seems that this sicko may have been replaying his own mothers' death through these intermediaries. This true crime story will have you making sure you're present at your parents' doctor appointments moving forward!

People have to cope with the awful, disgusting things this man did by distancing him to the supernatural.

Albert is gross as hell. This man takes sadomasochism to a truly disturbing place.This man started with eating his own poop before moving on to eating people. It get's dark so be prepared but who better to go through the darkness with than two gay guys that definitely won't be protecting YOU!

He's telling the tale of Victor Licata, the dream slayer. Victor was often referred to as "queer" but don't worry, that just meant strange back then. He's not one of us! Basically, Victor thought he was just dreaming about a floppy axe but actually, he was brutally killing his whole family.
