Our culture has taken some liberties with marriage. It’s been redefined, re-envisioned, re-written and re-constructed. Sometimes it’s held out as a panacea . . . other times it’s ridiculed as a ball and chain. “Till death do us part” has come to mean “we’ll give it a try.” It’s no wonder there’s so much confusion about the institution.
