What is the purpose of a Miracle? Does God still perform miracles today? Why does God perform miracles for some, but not for others. What is God trying to do through a miracle.

All these are excellent questions, and all of them have equally excellent answers.

The story of Rahab is fantastic one.

In the story of Rahab we see a picture of Mercy and Grace, protection and provision, of Fantastic Faith, and of the Salvation that would come in the New Testament

The greek, Syrophoenecian woman comes to Jesus, desperate for Him to cast out a demon from her daughter. She is desperate in her plea, but like her, we are all desperate for Jesus.

We also see an important lesson that Jesus reaches outside of Israel to minister to people that non jews, further redefining the lines of our understanding of What the Mission is in reaching all people.

Jesus did not come to abolish or do away with the Mosaic Law. He came to fulfill it, to complete it. At the same time in the eyes of the religious rulers, and many of the jews, Jesus was violating the law, or at the very least moving the lines of what was permissible and what was not. In truth however, Jesus was not moving the lines of God's law, but rather correcting the definition as understood by man and the religious leaders. In essence re-defining the law.

Jesus was the perfect sacrifice, the final sacrifice that was ever required. He also was the greater teacher of the law, because He as God gave it.

Reading the word of God is not always easy. Connecting the Dots is a new series title, that deals with putting the pieces of the Word of God together to better understand what we are reading. In this edition we look at the reason for God commanding the destruction of the Canaanites so that the Israelites can possess the Land of promise.

God does not have favorites, but clearly there are those who are closer to him and have a more special relationship than others.

David was a man after God's own heart.

Enoch walked with God.

The disciples were especially chosen, and Peter, James, and John formed an inner circle.

and Moses talked with God face to face as a friend speaks to a friend.

What is it to really know God, and how do we get there.

The key is found in this passage and in this sermon.

There are those that know God on different levels. Are we content with where we are know, or do we truly desire to know God?

In Exodus Ch. 25-30 God had instructed Moses in how to direct the people in the building and furnishing of the Tabernacle. Now in chapter 35 they begin making and building the elements of the tabernacle. God was specific in His instruction and Moses and the nation of Israel were to be certain in following those instructions.

God today gives instructions for our lives. We are to follow them fully. Here we discuss keys in fully following God's instructions for our lives.
