As Christians, we all know that we are instructed to love others. We even know the importance on loving others, the Bible places on the topic. But, many of us don't realize just how important it is or just how possible it is, even when it seems impossible to love some people.

The New Testament instructs us repeatedly to be a people that give thanks. While there are many things we can offer thanks to God for, John gives us the three greatest reason for giving thanks in the 4th chapter of I John.

There are many in this world, that makes the claim to believe in God. There are many who preach, and teach what they claim are truths from the Word of God, or in Jesus name. But many of these truths contradict with what others teach as Gospel truth.

How do we know what is the actual truth and who to believe?

John tells us in the Word of God how we can know and what the litmus test is for believing what is the actual God given truth.

There are times in life when circumstances might cause us to let down our guard. Elections or events in life might go our way, and we feel it is time to relax. It is not. The Story of Daniel following the fall of Babylon gives us lessons from Daniel's example. We are still foreigners traveling in a strange land. We are not to our Home yet. There is much to do and much to remember, and we must finish well.

As we turn to again to the topic of Loving others in the book of I John, we learn that the focus of loving others in this chapter is on the importance of relationships. John provides 4 levels of relationships and shows us as Christians the one we must embrace.

How we talk about people matters, but how we treat people is truly what makes a difference. Our talk sometimes, is just that talk. But showing a Godly Love will always make a difference in peoples lives and draw attention to our God.
