Hope for the Finding

We continue our series on 5 truths in which we can believe without a doubt. We have shared in previous weeks, we can believe without a doubt:

1. God's Word is True

2. Jesus is the Son of God

3. Believers Have Eternal Life

and now we add a fourth: God Hears our Prayers.

Continuing the series on that which we can know without any doubt. There are some things in the Bible that God intentionally left vague so that we will look to Him and trust him. There are others that there can be no doubt or debate over.

Last week we shared the first: Jesus is the Son of God.

This week we shared the next two truths in this section of scripture of which there can be no doubt.

I John was written primarily so that we may know that we know Him, that we may know the truth.

There are many issues on which Christians may disagree or debate, but there are issues on which we can know for sure, without a doubt.

Confidence and boldness, as discussed in the previous verses comes when we are saved and become the children of God. As evidenced by our growing love for God and others, while being honest with ourselves, delighting in obeying God's commands.

All this however is possible only if we have a God given Faith that leads us to victory as maturing Christians.

Living confident and bold in the face of life and the coming judgment is one of the blessings of being a believer in Jesus Christ and child of God. Last week we shared how we can know we can live confident and bold when we experience 3 important truths. Last week we shared the truth that our love is being matured. This week we look at the other two truths found in this passage of scripture.

Without faith Christ there can be no certainty or true assuredness in life. But with with Christ, when we have a true saving relationship with Him, not only can we have confidence in living, but also we have confidence and boldness in facing death.

Fear, anxiety, depression, and anxiety seem to be some of our greatest struggles as Christians. We can have victory over these giants through Jesus Christ our Lord, but in order to do so we must learn to tune out the voices that are not from the Lord and tune in the one voice to which we must listen and believe. Join us as we share this lesson from the story of David and the giant Goliath.

As Christians, we all know that we are instructed to love others. We even know the importance on loving others, the Bible places on the topic. But, many of us don't realize just how important it is or just how possible it is, even when it seems impossible to love some people.

The New Testament instructs us repeatedly to be a people that give thanks. While there are many things we can offer thanks to God for, John gives us the three greatest reason for giving thanks in the 4th chapter of I John.

There are many in this world, that makes the claim to believe in God. There are many who preach, and teach what they claim are truths from the Word of God, or in Jesus name. But many of these truths contradict with what others teach as Gospel truth.

How do we know what is the actual truth and who to believe?

John tells us in the Word of God how we can know and what the litmus test is for believing what is the actual God given truth.
