Hope for the Finding

There are times in life when circumstances might cause us to let down our guard. Elections or events in life might go our way, and we feel it is time to relax. It is not. The Story of Daniel following the fall of Babylon gives us lessons from Daniel's example. We are still foreigners traveling in a strange land. We are not to our Home yet. There is much to do and much to remember, and we must finish well.

On the. Sunday before Election Tuesday. We share a message about how to deal with the chaos around us. Listen as we share from the book of Daniel what a Christians proper response should be in th time of political chaos.

In a world filled with events and circumstances that we wish we could forget, God gives us three truths that we should always remember.

Continuing with part 2, the thought that in a world where we remember so many difficulties in life, we must remember and never forget these 3 promises and facts from God, as shared by John the Beloved Disciple.

As we turn to again to the topic of Loving others in the book of I John, we learn that the focus of loving others in this chapter is on the importance of relationships. John provides 4 levels of relationships and shows us as Christians the one we must embrace.

How we talk about people matters, but how we treat people is truly what makes a difference. Our talk sometimes, is just that talk. But showing a Godly Love will always make a difference in peoples lives and draw attention to our God.

Everyone needs encouragement. Barnabus teaches us many things about the importance of an encourager and the impact they can make in life.

Now going into the 177th year we invite former pastor Rev. Jim Brooks to bring a timely message of challenge and encouragement to the church as we go forward into the future.

Today we remember the last supper of Jesus and His disciples in the upper room. Where Jesus gave the symbols of His Body and Blood to be remembered forever before He went to the cross. But we often forget the connection of the Last Supper to that of the Passover Supper in which they were celebrating. Today we look at the picture of the The Passover along with connection to our Lord's Supper/Communion that we celebrate in church today. And we find that the prophetic picture of the Passover is worth more than a thousand words.

As we begin a new section of scripture in I John, we find the teaching regarding the last days. John helps us understand a message of the last days, the Anti-Christ, and the Spirit of the Anti-Christ, and above all how that what we believe really does matter. Sincerity is not always enough, but believing the truth is a key to living the real life as a Christian.
