In this passage, John gives us 3 possible options for dealing with our sin. Last week we shared the first and wrong response, trying to hide our sin. This week we share the 1st and necessary response to our sin. One that is only made possible by the work of Jesus and Grace of God.

The price of sin's debt was paid on the cross by Jesus 2000 years ago for all will believe by faith. The Eternal consequence of sin has been dealt with once and for all.

But, the daily reality of sin in our lives is real and must be dealt with consequently.

John shares with us 3 options for dealing with sin our lives in this section of scripture and can be applied to our lives today.

When God calls us to action, we have a choice. Do we obey or do we avoid the task before us.

The devil will give us many reasons to avoid answering the call God places on our life.

In the end, the choice comes down to who we believe more; the lies of Satan or the truth of God.

This week we conclude I John 1:1-4 and the theme: A Life that is Real, with the message: A Life that is Real is a life to be shared.

Because once the real life has been revealed to us (by God) and experienced by us (through salvation in Christ) we can’t help but share it with others.

This week we share 2 purposes and benefits for sharing the life we have had revealed to us and that we are experiencing.

Many people search all their lives for something that is real. In the book of I John we read of a life that is real (Jesus Christ) and that life has been revealed by the grace of God to us. This week we share how that life that we can have, can be and must be experienced and shared.

With the Resurrection of Jesus, it was a new day, with the opportunity for a new start.

But if our hearts our hardened by circumstances that don't meet our desires, we are in danger of a hardened heart.

Good Friday, as it is known, was in many ways the darkest day in the history of the world. Yet, it is also the brightest because it is the day that the price of sin was offered by the Lamb of God dying on the cross.

By His stripes, we are healed.

As the crucifixion of Jesus was the payment of our debt, His resurrection from the dead symbolizes the receipt. The payment was received and accepted by God the Father.

His wrath was satisfied by the sacrifice of the Son!

While many mourned his deaths and what was believed to be the end of the story, the resurrection proves that the entire time...Jesus was on the move.

The Crucifixion of Jesus was nothing short of brutal.

We must never forget the cost that Jesus paid for the forgiveness of sin.

Jesus Crucifixion also brought about the completion of many aspects of life in the world in which we temporarily live.

In our Journey through the book of Mark our focus is shifted from Jesus Trial to Jesus torture and crucifixion. As we follow the story of Jesus being placed on the cross, we also find the footsteps of Jesus that we are to follow.

Jesus Trial Continues as it moves from the halls of the Religious leaders and He is handed over to Roman Leadership. The trial of Jesus before Pontius Pilot demonstrates a reality of Jesus ministry to win those that are compromisers and ambivalent.
