The King is coming!

Jesus before he died on the cross and rose again, described the signs of the end of the age, starting with the “Beginning of Sorrows” and ending with His triumphal appearing that all will see.

Before his arrival in the clouds, He describes the Tribulation period as “a time like no other.” Listen as we share from the Word of God just what that time will be like, and the hope and promise of His imminent return.

In Chapter 13 of Mark, Jesus gives us a timeline of signs and events that will take place before His return. This Beginning of Sorrows started with the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem in AD 70, and will continue until He returns in Power and Glory as stated in Mark 13:26. In the mean time, He gave us 3 admonitions of what not to allow to happen as we look for His coming?

In response to Jesus Authority of His words and actions by the Jewish religious leaders, Jesus gives a parable about a Vineyard and some rebellious laborers. In this parable we see not only a Historic and prophetic picture of Israel, but we see the downward spiraling direction that sin leads. Despite the ominous parable, we also see the opportunity for amazing grace.

Mark 11 begins with the arrival of Jesus into Jerusalem at the begging of what is known as “Passion Week.” Jesus in fulfillment of prophecy enters the Holy City riding on a donkey and being celebrated with shouts of Hosanna, and people placing their coats or palm branches down in his path, as they celebrated him as the coming king and promised Messaiah.Today we too are to make preparations for the returning King Jesus and we see in this passage how we are to prepare for His coming.
