Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of Romans 8:24-25 "For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience."
"Finding rest can be hard. I know I have just spent the last month an a half essentially working everyday. This is the first consecutive days off that I have in a long time.
Resting is unusual to me. It is out of my nature. I am one that loves to charge full speed at the things I do. I don’t like to slow down.
For many years I ran from my reality. Over working was a nice way to numb the pain I had at home. But it was through this overworking and burn out that I would feel the Lord minister to me.
He really does replenish us. He renews our strength. I know a lot of the times, it’s scary to slow down and listen to our thoughts. It’s scary to feel like because we aren’t doing something we are wasting time. But know that is is necessary for us. We need to give the Lord time to work in our spirits. "
