This week, we bring you a more serious side of the Hot Cross Buns universe. Sit with us as we process thoughts of current events from this week, and just throw around ideas about the world we live in. For me(Cam), this is one of the most important parts of my life, having a group of people I trust to shoot holes in my ideas or check me in my thought process. We hope you enjoyed this unscheduled change to our regularly scheduled podcast. Please reach out with any thoughts this provoked in that big beautiful brain of yours, we would love to hear feedback as well as continue the discussion! Thank you for listening!!!

Salutations,
Did you know, China and India fight each other with sticks? There is a stretch of about 150 miles on the border of the two countries that is disputed, so naturally, they have troops positioned on said stretch of border. However, the two countries have a treaty signed that says they are not allowed to use explosives of any kind, so no bullets, grenades, or other 21st-century weapons. Instead, they use sticks, rocks, and riot gear whenever the troops get a little rowdy. Which happens often because both countries suffer from little-big man syndrome, apparently. Sounds like my kinda Tuesday night. Thank you for listening, or whatever.

Hello, friends and enemies. All of you are here to listen, and listen you shall. No tears will be shed, only farting, giggling joy!! There will be games and there will be gold falling from the air, watch your head. This may sound like another place you've heard of, don't worry, check your pulse, you're still on this plane of existence. You've just been whisked away to a hotter, crosser, and bunzier time zone. Thank you for being here with us. It gets boring talking to myself, which I'm currently doing. Help.

Sup jiblets,
This week, you may notice some poor audio quality, a tiny demon slid our recording volume to 100000, and we didn't notice until editing, deal with it. We start with listening to Jaymi cough his third lung out, yes, he has three, no, you can't have his extra one. After that, it's alllllll games, well that and more coughing, obviously. First, it's writing a letter about a certain upside-down plane. Honestly, it's times like these that I feel like we should script some of this madness. Next we play a game that Ruthie has been BEEEGGING for, the ole change game. I think it goes well, but you let us know what you think! Thank you for listening!!

Hello, today we have prepared a scrumptuous tasting for your ears. The special is the three of us laughing and giggling about a lightsaber, which you can't see because it's an audio podcast, teasingly savory. We have a couple of appetizers as well, the favorite is a little something called "Would You Rather", you'll notice hints of rosemary and lettuce in that experience. Lastly, we have an Entrée/dessert, it's called "The Clyde", another earthy flavors forward dish, with just a slight hint of an old man berating you for being an idiot, it is simply delightful. Alongside those options, I think a nice drink of "Giggling and Burping" would pair excellently. Just let me know when you're ready to order.

Sup dawgs and dawgets. This week on the best podcast you ever done listened to, we answer a lot of questions, like a loooootttt. All of them were from our dear friend Ruthie, who, unbeknownst to her, created all the content for this episode without being paid!! What a sucker!! Thank you for listening, have a great 4th of July!!!!! Keep your fingers, or at least most of them.

Hey guys, before we left for vacation, our editor was supposed to grab a hard drive so he could edit the podcast while on said vacation. The editor, who shall not be named, forgot to grab said hard drive. So now we're here, four days late and so many dollars short. Sorry, we know you missed us so much, it won't happen again, unless it does.
This week on the best podcast, we laughed, we killed bugs, we did stupid voices, and we talked about Nicki Minaj. That's it, maybe just don't even listen, it was kinda boring. OR WAS IT??? Go find out! Thank you for listening, we love you this much..................................................................... Sixty-nine dots long, that's a lot of love if you ask me.

Breaking up without losing the friendship is delicate, but totally possible if you're honest, kind, and respectful. Here’s a step-by-step guide that can help, straight from Chat GPT:
Don’t give false hope. If you’re ending the romantic part of the relationship, be honest and clear about that.
Example: “I care about you deeply, but I’ve realized I no longer feel the kind of connection I think we both deserve in a relationship.”
Breakups affect both people, even if you're the one initiating it.
Let them express how they feel. Don’t try to fix their pain—just listen.
Be explicit. Say you still care and want them in your life in a meaningful way.
Example: “You’re one of the most important people to me, and I’d love for us to stay in each other’s lives as friends.”
This is the hard part—but crucial.
Even if you both want to stay friends, transitioning out of a romantic relationship takes time and emotional distance. Let them take the lead on how much space they need.
When the time feels right (this could be weeks or months), check in and slowly rebuild your friendship from a new place.
Do platonic things together. Avoid flirty behavior that could blur lines.
Some people can't be friends with an ex. If they decide they need to step away, let them go with love and grace. That is part of caring for them, too.
Thank you for listening!! These descriptions will just get lazier and lazier if people keep ignoring them.

Hi, listen to the episode. You will laugh. Hopefully.
Did you know that Feudal Japan was a period of history in Japanese? Many people think that "feudal" is the same thing as "futile"; it is, in fact, not even remotely close to the same. Feudal Japan refers to a period in Japanese history, roughly the 12th to 19th century. This is when the government was largely run by a system of military rule and land-based hierarchy similar to medieval Europe. There was an Emperor who really had no power and acted mainly as a figurehead, a Shogun, who had most of the military and political power, and the Daimyo, who were rich landlords, who were powerful enough to have their own armies. This was the time of Samurai, Shinobi(basically ninjas), and all the other crazy stereotypical Japanese things we see from movies and TV. This period lasted from around 1185 to 1868 and really only lasted because Japan was so closed off from the rest of the world. The end came about because the emperor regained power and then opened Japan up to the rest of the world. Also, crazy that around 60 years later, they wanted to kill everyone, or mostly everyone at least. HAHA!! Thank you for reading!! Oh, and listening, but that's secondary.
