- Seperation For Elevation with Pastors William & Donna Porter - May 27, 2018
Separation for Elevation
We are called to a higher level!
- Anytime you proceed to a new place there will be things that try to prevent you from reaching that place.
- You must leave the lower level to go to the higher level
- Lower is not necessarily bad but higher is the place God is calling you.
Example: appointment on the 2nd floor
- You’re in the lobby on the first floor.
- How will you get to what God has for you on the 2nd floor?
- In order to get to the 2nd floor you must separate yourself from the first floor.
- There’s a means to take you there but if you don’t take it you’ll have to reschedule
- You can even make a decision to get there but if you don’t take the means to get there you’ll still have to reschedule.
- Going to levels is not easy! It takes discipline!
- Before you can even take a step you have to take one in your thought life.
Holy Spirit said: MANY WANT TO GO TO THE 2ND FLOOR BUT THEY STILL HAVE A FIRST FLOOR MENTALITY!
Separation is necessary!
Example: Egg
- Separate the yolk from the white of the egg.
- Let’s talk about this process of separation
What did you learn from this process? ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The Word is the shell that is to be used to separate the old from the new!
- There are some things in life where you can’t use a scrambled egg!
- In order to go to the higher level you must be able to separate!
Since separation is important let’s read the story of Abram and Lot. Pay close attention to how Abram handles the separation from Lot. Listen to what Holy Spirit says to you. Make notes for yourself. Put yourself in the Word. Today you are Abram!
Genesis 12:1-9 & Genesis 13:1-18
