On this episode, I sit down with Emma Edwards - author of Good With Money and certified Financial Behaviour Specialist®. In this episode we delve deep into Emma’s process of writing ‘Good With Money’, we talk about what it’s like living your life online and being part of the ‘content creation’ world, and lastly I ask all the burning financial questions on all your minds. Today we’re joined by Aron Mazur, also known as The Hip Lawyer on social media.  

In 2017, Aron faced a heartbreaking tragedy when he lost his then 25 year old sister tragically. 

This profound loss has not only shaped his personal beliefs and values, but also ignited a passion for addressing grief and promoting conversations about loss. Channelling his grief into helping others, Aron has since co-founded two charities, Anika Legal and The Five Percent Foundation. 

His journey took another turn with a debilitating hip condition in 2022, leading to two surgeries and significant disability, and sidelining him from work for 13 months due to chronic pain. 

This experience challenged Aron to reflect on his approach to health and wellness. Embracing a combination of western medicine and spiritual practices, Aron has found ways to heal both physically and emotionally, overcoming physical limitations that once seemed insurmountable. He is a testament to overcoming physical and emotional pain and a beacon of hope for those in their darkest hours. 

Today, we delve into bits of Aron’s story of re-identifying himself when handling chronic pain, the emotional and physical side of healing, finding belonging, and handling the loss of his sibling.

Today we sit down with Huzz - king of global pop up silent discos. 

Huzz is the definition of walking the pathless path. 

Why is is that at 16-18 years of age, we are cast with making a decision on what we want to do and who we are to be, with little room allowing for a change of heart. This decision is only exacerbated by the pressures on the younger generation to keep up in the cost of living crisis. 

All too often, we are hearing the struggles of the younger generation. After being sold that the world is their oyster, that they can be whoever they want to be, having the opportunity to explore - education and travel, the younger generation are then hit in the face when entering the workforce. Not only is there the navigation of the generational ‘heabutt’ between millennials vs boomers and now Gen Z vs millennials - both hosting an array of stereotypes such as ‘entitled’ vs ‘rigid’, and ‘lazy’ vs ‘grit’ to name a few; however there is also a whole new world of hierarchical structures and corporate lingo. It is simply no wonder that the younger generation feel uninspired. 

Do you feel, to put it lightly, shitty and uninspired? Like you’re looking around at social media seeing the ‘work perks’ and everyone ‘smashing it’, yet you don’t even know what would light you up in the workplace? Do you have that urge to just quit and travel, to run and hide or just put it to the side because nothing can be done? 

In this discussion, we learn what it took for Huzz to take that leap of faith. To walk the pathless path.

One of my biggest regrets in life is not sitting down and recording a conversation with my Granny before she passed away. Whilst her voice is always within my memory, sometimes I do wish I could connect back to the way her mind worked, and her sense of humour. It has inspired me to record conversations with my family members for future generations. I don’t know how I will ever explain to my future children, my Granny, in a way that does justice to who she was. This episode is dedicated to her memory. I sit down with my Grandfather, her husband, Felix Carrady, and we talk about life at the age of 89. What are the thoughts and reflections that occur? How do you come to peace with aging and the stages of life? 

In this episode, I sit down with Felix and ask him on his perspective on his journey through life, from the perspective of being 89. We explore my grandfather’s experience in POW camp. We explore the ideas around psychology, what it is to know thyself, we discuss religion/spirituality, and, life after losing the love of your life. I may be biased, but I really believe that Felix has so much wisdom and insight, and I cherish our conversations greatly. I hope this episode gives as much to you, as it does to me.

On Today's episode, we sit down with Kaitlyn Menere, holistic psychotherapist and coach.

Kaitlyn lost her mother at the age of 20, and we discuss how grief shaped her identity, and seven years later, Kaitlyn chose to reshape that identity.

What does changing your identity realistically look like? What's the process of teaching yourself who you are, to then be able to teach others?

We discuss the steps Kaitlyn took in completely changing industries from Makeup to Wellness, as well as what it looked like to start her business from the ground up.

WELCOME to the first Solo Episode of 2024.

Why is it that at the start of the year, halfway through the year and at the end of the year, we have momentary 'freak outs' that we aren't where we are meant to be, we haven't achieved our goals, and we are ultimately, a failure (compared to everyone else's social media grid)?

Nearing the end of Jan I started to realise, it wouldn't be long before we saw those beautiful reminders 'The first month of 2024 is nearly over..how's your NY Resolution going?'.
