Touching & compelling novel wonderfully read!

I loved this novel - you really get to know and love the characters well, and root for them throughout. Very poignant and relevant for today, even though it's set in '08. I can't say enough about Prentice Onayem either, his delivery and voices were so natural and beautifully done.

Excellent!

This is a great debut novel for Saunders. The story is engaging, very well researched, the characters are expertly developed, with a great weaving of different perspectives. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get lost in a great book for a few days!

This was a fantastic book. It was well written not only grammatically, but also in its storyline. I liked the concept and the follow through of it to the end.

Not a HEA..

the whole thing was just tragic. I didn't care for the heroin, she was just simple minded and I just didn't really care about what happened to her. She was weak and let people use her.

The ending does not fit into what people consider a H EA by no means.

yes she gets Jake but that was expected way bedore the end so no surprise there . No spoilers but if you decide to purchase the audible you will understand what I mean by no means is the end a H EA.

Rose and Black make frequent cameos so that is a plus.

I just didn't care for Jake's story very much. Maybe if the heroin was less pathetic I would have liked the book more. She wasn't a good fit for Jake.

The narration was ok. I didn't care for the female version of Jake but other than that narration was okay.

T.L. Smith fulfilled my dark romance fix with White. Yes she is one of writers I often seem to stalk!! I fell hard for this series with Black! That was the first book I read by Author T.L. Smith. I was captivated by these characters from the start! So I had to continue with this series.

White truly show cases T.L. Smiths growth as a writer. Her ability to a story like White! Which only became a vivid world in which you didn't want to leave! With all that grit, grime and lust. Oh can I say the heart murmurs it gave me! Then the oh shit I may die at some point or I want to beat a few people after! Hmmm Aww Just brings me a wicked smile to my face!!!

Well-written summary of a very good novel

Iâve only read one of Alice Hoffmanâs books, The Marriage of Opposites, which I really liked. Right now, there are a lot of titles out there that have the main character go through a life-changing tragedy, and then must redefine herself in the aftermath. Itâs one of those inner, thoughtful, must fight to get back to her old life but then must settle for mastering the new normal but does find herself at last.

Iâm getting a bit burned out on that premise and that is what had me going to Instaread for the summary before deciding to make the purchase. I especially appreciated the analysis section and the writerâs style section. I did get the full book because I think Hoffman is a good writer and it seems to me sheâs handled this premise very well. Itâs got it all, well-written with a great lead character the reader can relate to, inner strength, determination, faith in oneself, resolve, you name it, Hoffman understands what it takes to get her character right where she needs to be to succeed.

I recommend this summary for those in book clubs as it does give an interesting analysis that they will find useful in discussions.

THE FIRST 125 OR SO 'AMAZON REVIEWS' HAVE THIS NOVEL RATED PRETTY HIGH (BUT MOSTLY JUST WOMEN REVIEWERS SO FAR)

This is an overview of the actual book âFaithful.â Kind of like an abbreviated âCliff's Notesâ for the FULL copy. It provides a potential reader enough information regarding the originalâs content to determine if we want to invest the money and time to actually purchase and read the entire printed copy or E-version. If this novel ever gets made into a movie; judging from Instaread's summary of the plot, characters and subplots ... it will likely become a "Chick-Flick." At .99 cents, this overview provides a good service and is one of the chief reasons I have personally found âInstareadâ to be a valuable tool.

This is an abridged version of Alice Hoffman's much longer book "Faithful". It gives you an idea if you'd like to sink your teeth into the novel, without the commitment and cost. Her last few books have been duds in my opinion, lacking the once magical aspect that drew me in. This summary makes it evident to me that her newest book is another story about love and heartbreak. The reviews are mixed and the analysis still has me torn as to whether I want to read the new novel.

Lyrebird

I have loved Ahern's books in the past so I thought I would give this book a go. The narrator was great at bringing the characters to life and I felt like I was there with Laura as she met and went through a whirlwind. I will recommend it to fans of Ahern.

Love Cecelia and this is no different. loving told by Aoife, beautiful accents, you can tell the difference in characters by the voice she makes for each. Not just a boring monotonous voice, Aofie uses her charm and knowledge of the characters to deliver a beautiful story.
