After years of pandemic-restricted movement, travel is back with a vengeance. The past three months have been the busiest in two years, says Michelle Rheinberger from boutique travel company Adventum Travel. 

Rheinberger speaks with Good Weekend senior writer Amanda Hooton in this episode of Good Weekend Talks about our increasing desire for deep immersion over tick-things-off vacations, what her move to the NSW town of Millthorpe taught her about regional hospitality, and the things you shouldn't leave home without.

“I definitely think people are doing shorter, more experience-based journeys,” says Rheinberger, “rather than the 55-countries-in-three-weeks kind of thing, ticking the names off the list.”
