In the second episode, I will cover 2 other foundational requirements for a successful diving adventure (or any diving really): equipment and procedures.

This is the first episode on scuba diving adventures, a topic I am quite familiar as a professional diver. I will build the episodes sharing experiences and advices that will lead to diving in Dahab's Blue Hole in Egypt -- considered to be the deadliest diving spot in the world with over 150 deaths, how to dive in caves, with sharks or even in the Devil's Den in FL.

In this episode, I describe some ideas about high-level planning as well as tactical planning, including some benchmarks about elevation gains per hour and speed depending on the mountain, conditions, skills and general fitness level. In this episode, I described how I summited Mt. Washington (NH) but it failed as a climb. I tie my mistakes to the fitness requirements and training I covered in episodes 2 and 3 and use the experience as a segue to mountaineering planning and decision-making, which I plan to cover in the next episode.

After getting some feedback and questions about the last episode, I dived a little deeper into the fitness training, body and mind, required for mountaineering, long hikes and expeditions.

In this episode I will cover the 3 foundations for fitness training as I see them: indoor aerobic training, strength training for muscle endurance (core!), and outdoor training to bring it all together and push your body. I will also cover my tools and programs, which I tested and bought from a variety of providers, such as Uphill Athlete, Training Peaks, Lumen, and HRV4Training.
