This is not an unabridged version of the book. Youtube has people reading from the actual book and there is lots missed out and simplified. Not impressed at all.

What did you like most about The Indian in the Cupboard?

It brought me back to my childhood as I used to have this on audio cassette. It's well read and I've always loved the story of the Indian in the Cupboard!

What other book might you compare The Indian in the Cupboard to, and why?

The borrowers maybe? But faster paced and more modern.

What does Richard E. Grant bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you had only read the book?

He is good at ding different voices!

This is absolutely one of my favourite books, and now one of my favourite audio books too.

What did you like best about this story?

The story is full of adventure, excitement and wonder. It is suitable for the whole family. Myself, my partner and my two children (7 and 5) were all enthralled.

What about Richard E. Grants performance did you like?

Richard reads the story very well indeed. He has a good clear voice, a nice steady pace, and he adds just the right amount of excitement and emotion to the tale. Very well done. I was impressed.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The story is full of wonder, excitement and adventure - just as a good (children's) book should be.

Naxos Junior Classics: Great Explorers

Over the years my family purchased more than thirty of the Naxos Junior Classics. The discs were wonderful to listen to on the way to school and other long car rides. Both the kids and the adults in my family loved the Naxos stories and we learned so much over the years.

Great explorers is one of the best titles. Their stories are interesting, informative and inspiring. An excellent selection!

My family truly enjoyed the Naxos audio collection and I hope your family will, too!

Great for Children

This 2 disc audiobook set covers over 2 and a half hours of stories featuring some of the world's greatest explorers. As a homeschooling Mom, this set has been a valuable resource. Our children have been able to learn without having to read in a book, they can listen anywhere (car, outside, their rooms, etc) and it helps make the lives of these great explorers seem real and personal and not just something they read about in History & Geography. I highly recommend this set to anyone who has children or families who homeschool.

Who is the audience???

I wonder whom the author had in mind writing this book - it is too boring for children, to superficial for adults. I listened to it (i always do before letting my child to listen) and put it at the bottom of the drawer - no use for it.

I would recommend that even the "casual" reader purchase and cherish this wonderful book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bick & Stink Meet King Solomon?

The story climbs to an unbelievable pitch when the king responds to the character Stink's observation that "all men are created equal!"

Which scene was your favorite?

I was very impressed when dinner was prepared, at great expense, for the kids by the king only to realize the story was taking another interesting "twist" in order to captivate the reader.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I tried to listen to it in one sitting but found that breaking it up in small bits allowed me to enjoy this read in a more "thoughtful" way.
