I loved all of the twists and turns of this book and I am still amazed at how it ended. Not how you would expect at all. Keep me interested from start to finish. It had everything from hot steamy sex, lies, secrets, scandals and suspense. An enjoyable read for sure. Rebecca Roberts did an excellent job narrating this book and really brought the book to life.

Ridiculous!

I had to force myself to finish this book. The narrator read way too fast with no pause in between sentences. The whiny voices of Anna and her sister when they were speaking to each other was almost too much to bear. And the Meg storyline would have been great had it not been so unrealistic.

Magical story filled with love

This was my first audio book and I was pleasantly surprised how easy it is to listen to your novel while doing the most mundane things. I was happily enjoying this story while having my brekkie, cleaning, cooking and just chilling out.

This was a lovely story filled with warmth and humour. It had a sort of magical, ethereal quality. I loved hearing about all the antiques and it was interesting finding out about Meg's background.

Victoria had created some lovely characters for this book all with secrets that were revealed in the storyline. Victoria's description of the location was perfect, you felt like you were having an adventure in the Cotswolds and in London.

A wonderful 5* read filled with moments of joy and sadness. Fun times and inspiring words. Tender moments of love.

A beautifully crafted story narrated Perfectly

This was my first Victoria Connelly story in audiobook form and I wasn't sure it would work. How wrong I was. Jan Cramer is a wonderful narrator. She's eloquent, and emotive .You can lose yourself in a different world as she brings a wondeful, moving story to life.

The Secret of You is a beautiful story, with just a hint of mystery, as is typical of a Victoria Connelly novel and I adored every second of my time with Anna, Libby, William, Mrs Boothby and Meg.

Loved it

A wonderful story in every way, even with some magic in it. A bit like books from Cecilia ahern, a page-turner that you'll remember after its done!

Average story. Dreadful narration

A run of the mill romance, made difficult to listen to by the narrator. It is read in an over emphasised manner that would be great for a children's book. Idiotic accents. Emphasis of sentences often mis judged. Listened on 2x speed to get through quickly.

Yes, and that's because I can't believe what I was reading. I was thinking why would all those women think having to stand on the edge of a bridge will prove David loves them? Then they stayed there silently while he tied them up, and put weights on their feet? Gah, by the time he is saying 'if you want to prove you love me then you will'...., I would have showed him the door. Pronto. Then our heroine Emma did the same thing????? SMH....

All of it. Men, it was intense. I read a book 'Sociopath' by Lime Craven, and I thought the hero was messed up, this is in a class by itself. Help....

not the best in series

This was the last of the story of Reid and Maddy. It was very short, which they warned us. But overall the story was just ok. The first two books were sensational.

This one seemed to just focus on drawn out love scenes. Now don't get me wrong, I love a good passionate love scene. But these scenes were sometimes several pages long. And for such a short book, it just seemed like that's all there was.

In the first two books about Reid and Maddy, the love scenes were an added bonus. I love how sweet Reid was to Maddy. I loved getting to see the ending of their story. I definitely love these characters.

I think I just may regret buying such a short book. Sometimes there needs to be a little drama in order to enjoy the love scene. Now there were a couple of great scenes in the story. And after you read the first two books you may feel like you have to see Reid and Maddys story end. But I don't think that you will be missing much.

So overall, the last book was just ok. I don't recommend the last book unless you just have to see the end of their story. I highly recommend the other books in the series. Even the stand alone about Maddys friend, Melanie was good.

More Maddy & Reid

This was a short and sweet novella.

We got more Maddy & Reid (who are my favorite couple in this series- so far). I enjoyed catching up with what had been happening with them since Maddy had the baby. It was so sweet the way Reid doted on Braden and Maddy. He truly became the man I knew he could be when I first met him in Let Love In. He was so devoted to his work at the center and his willingness to go out of the way for those kids showed just how much he has grown.

I loved that we got to watch both characters develop into the parents they didn't think they could be. The diaper changing scene in the beginning had me in fits. There is just something about a baby and new parents that makes you smile.

Overall, it was a light and easy enjoyable read. There was the typical Melissa Collins sweetness and steam but there was also a but of mystery thrown in as well. It also set up another possible spin off to the series (but no spoilers on that one- I'll just have to wait and see if I'm right).

There is nothing earth shattering that would make me recommend it to you

This story follows Maddy and Reid a year later with the angst being the typical struggles that all young, newlywed couples with a baby go through. There is nothing earth shattering that would make me recommend it to you.

Good Narrator, Ok Story

Sasha (Sugar) and Adam

Now I am not the murdering kind but this book damn. I don't know if I could have done what Sasha and the others did. I would have been the wimp in the corning lol.

Tommy and Sugars relationship was soooo unhealthy. I don't like what happened though no one deserves that.

I am glad Adam woke her up and though he was almost to understanding. I get he was in love with her from a far and all but yeah.... Still it was a good book not sure I will buy more in the series or not.

Perfect for that weekend read

A September Bride is one of Zondervan's Year of Weddings novellas of 2014. All the stories in this series are stand alone books. This one is bright, cheery, filled with good humor and laughs, a sweet romance, small town family dynamics and a happy ending. Conflict is on the light side with just a smidgen of mystery. It's the perfect read for a get-away or a weekend.

Anne Price was looking for a new start in her life. So when she was offered the opportunity to manage a small town bookstore, she jumped at the chance. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Anne felt Red Leaf was a refreshing change for her. Everyone treated her like family and she immediately became involved in the town's events. An Awesome Read!

I absolutely loved reading this story, PowerPlay: Jodie and the Billionaire, about Jodie & Doran Cole who met in Vegas at a bar. He helped her out by letting her girl-friend Lauren take a picture of the two of them, and then sending it to her ex of 8 years, who cheated on her. The author wrote a great story, and the characters absolutely sold it! Read this story, it will make you laugh, cry and cum a lot! I absolutely loved it, and you will too. Dear Selena, I want the whole story

Write a book. A whole book. I love your writing. Sexy, dark, often taboo.

Your sex scenes are panty meltingly hot. The Characters are interesting enough to want to know the whole story.

Please, even free, even well written, I am tired of having my curiosity and libido piqued only to realize, I will never have the answers about Melissa, the first edition of Don Quixote, do they ever play Yatsee with her sisters? Disappointing

I'm sad. I really enjoyed the first two books, but this book disappointed. SPOILERS: First of all, authors of series need to be very very careful about killing off established characters. The second book ended with the promise of a happy relationship between two characters; this book began with her death. I had downloaded this book based on enjoying the second one...so this was a huge disappointment. The second point: there's a difference between a man being protective of a woman, and him going around assaulting other men because he thinks they need to be intimidated into leaving her alone. The further I got into the book, the less I liked Paul- he felt creepy, not romantic. The story line about the stalker was pretty much lacking in suspense, because all the clues pointed to the same man. And third: when a story is pitched to animal lovers, be very, very careful about endangering animals. People who read animal books want happy endings for the animals. Fourth: I realize this is a personal issue, but it makes me uncomfortable that cats were only mentioned in passing during the book. The author says that there were 300 cats in the shelter...but we never see a one of them. Does this vet like cats? It sure doesn't seem so. And that's the final nail in the coffin here. This series began with such promise, but it's lost me as a reader.

Fell in love with the dogs and the people.

Loved the characters and the way they wove the stories of the dogs into the lives of the characters without losing the fact that this is a story about the people. Another reviewer commented that they didn't like how this one started based on the expectations they had from the book prior to this one. Apparently, this book is part of a series. To me, the fact that I never felt like I was missing any back story is a huge plus; I hate feeling like you have to have read the other books to get what is going on in the one I'm reading. Because I didn't read the prior book, I had no attachment to the characters until they were presented here. **Small Spoiler** Not all of the animals make it to the end of the book. While I felt an attachment to the animals and was sad (may've cried...), it didn't make me dislike the book or the author. It was sad; sometimes that is the way life can be. They also took offense at the lack of mention regarding the cats that were at the vet; this was not an issue for me, but I'm also not a huge cat lover, so if you are, maybe that would also be an issue for you. (The title does say "Every DOG..." not "Cat") I never felt like the H was overly protective (referring to a review who felt he was almost creepy/over the top); it seemed like he was a man who knew the pain of loss and was anxious to stop the threat.

Monica Remy is a ultra liberal/pro-woman. Now this is prob my first story that was about politics, and as I prob wont read another politic book again, this was still a great book. It had important issues such as rape/fraternity's/morning after-pills, and dealing with emotional side of being raped.

Monica Remy transfers from one college to the next because facing her accuser wasn't what she wanted to do, she wanted to start her life over, and still finish her degree. She so happens to move in the same apartment is the Illinois governor's son Trey Chapman. Even thou Trey Chapman is the governors son, he still has the same beliefs as his dad's which goes all against Monica's liberal views.

Most of the beginning of the book has them bantering about there political views, but they quickly develop a chemistry. What I do enjoy about the book as when comes the sex part, she completed a role reverse. Where the woman is the experienced one while Trey was the virgin. I was JUMPING for joy when things did pick up the pace, I was cheering for Monica when it does happen...

He kissed me with a fire like no other, as if he were afraid breaking the kiss would break us.

The ending was a little rushed, but I was glad that she was able to face her accuser and everyone else that was that was involved. Trey was truly her Only Exception.

Magan is fantastic writer, and it shows when she puts the details and flows her words together, this is the 2nd book I've read of hers and will continue to read the rest of the series.

The Only Exception is the story of Monica, a liberal college student studying political science, and Trey, the conservative governor's son who lives next door. At first there is tension between the two but as time goes on, Monica and Trey learn to like each other despite their opposing political views.

The Only Exception also tackles the difficult subject of sexual assault and the availability of affordable contraception. I think Ms. Vernon does a wonderful job of informing the reader about this without it being overly one sided. Ms. Vernon clearly shows both sides of the debate and as a reader I appreciated this.
